Still not heard back from the club or any L.I.S.A. members, but Pennington have e-mailed me. I'm going down to the pro-shop (shed) wednesday to talk to them.

Think 17th sounds right mate. What do you normally go round in? if its 49 or more, you are a 28 handicapper. Got 6 takers up to now, but know plenty more will be interested.

Surely there is somewhere better than Pennington (used to go round in 36 in my youth



when students got a day ticket for feck all- don't play now).

I'm sure Dave Rowlands could deffo have some influence at Leigh.

about 49 yeah , depending on a good or bad day . i have had some mares in my time but my best score was about 42 a few years back!

I play at Haydock Park, and for £35, you can play 27 holes with a meal thrown in.

Only worth it though if there is to be a good few. Even the Great Gordon Lewis playes there !!

The problem with Haydock is 35 quids a lot of money for a first go at getting together. If someone knows Dave Rowlands at Leigh could they have a word, also unless people have EGU handicaps, a lot of courses won't allow people to play in societys.

I don't know what the solution is. Haigh Hall is cheap, a municipal but garbage. Altrincham is about 15 quid and is really good.

Agree with Snowy on this one - Haydock is a great little course, you could do a lot worse. And the apres game facilities aren't too shabby either.

Mentioned this to IM this morning, let him know - through me our Andy or Dave or anyone at the club - when there is a venue, date and time etc.. and he will do his upmost to attend with some players, sorry forgot to ask him if he plays himself

The 12th at HPGC was the scene of my one and only hole in one!! When I got back to the clubhouse, despite my father running ahead to inform the players on the 13th tee, there were only 5 people in there..a very cheap round of drinks.

If your dad got one Del, we both know he wouldn't tellanyone !!







At least I got my hole in one on a propoer hole ! a lovely 6 iron on the 191 yard par 3 18th !!

what kind of prices are people willing to pay. The way i see it if we do haydock at £35, we will have to be paying £40 at least to start earning for LISA.

Nice one mate, i've just contacted Leigh and got a reply from Pennington saying to contact the club shop, but havn't been in like I thought I was going to, due to unforseen circumstances involving a radiator exploding on my car!

Had a chat with a mate of mine in the pub last night.

He tells me that the club have sounded him out about taking part in a Golf day in August, in association with LISA & Corporate Club.
