I told some Chemics pre game that Leigh had a policy of no pay on the gate so they'd need to queue for tickets if a decent gate was on so to get there early

You played it safe so makes sense tbh. As a heads up to you lot btw Widnes have gone back to pay on gate too (sure will be explained at time) but much better especially for away support

Since these were published at the back end of last year the above statement as been amended slightly it now reads

To be honest I don't really care anymore, Widnes will get in tomorrow and any Widnes game from here on in becomes meaningless. Loathe as I am to suggest it I don't think any Widnes games should be included in the final league table this year

I disagree with Demon regarding not including the Widnes results because that would not be fair to Hunslet and would spoil our points for and against too.



Like practically everyone else however I am sure Widnes will get the nod tomorrow and tbf they have ticked the relevant boxes and have been the best supported club in the Championship.

Of course I still think franchising is daft though.

Basically we've had a poor 120mins of season so far... Still plenty of league games to go and who knows in out cup next week

One of my most memorabe night s watching a game of rugby was at Wakefield funny enough, the year the PIes were bottom of the league we was playing up at YOrk that weekend, so a load of us decide to have a weekend stay in YORK, on the FRiday night we had made plans to travel from York to Wakey to lend our support to you guys v the PIES, we turned up in our Leigh shirts with a huge banner saying NL1 needs a strong Wigan, Leythers on tour. It worked we cheered you on to victory and had a great night too.

Can't say I remember much of my last trip to Wakefield, other than I was stood smack bang in the middle of the Wakefield fans and lost a pair of glasses that night

Is that the game where Pat Richards dropped the ball over the line at the death and the VR disallowed it to give us the victory?

Thats really really good PR work.
Lots of Widnes fans would've been really upset at Sundays 2nd half showing and will have been saying 'i'm not going to the cup as we'll get hammered' etc, etc.
Tomorrow Widnes will get the news they have been desperate for and a lot of the feel good factor will be felt by the fans opting to go to the next game - against there local rivals - in a Cup quater final.
A packed away end will look good on TV for Widnes in its charm offensive to win over any doubters that they are going to offer SL something, equally it gives the Widnes players a huge vocal backing.
Its also a shared gate, win win all round.

I did here there are 2 types of coach ticket on offer,
The one that allows you to watch 50mins then leave and one that allows you to watch 80mins and then leave

It's a dual club initiative Jenky , we offered to pay for some coaches and asked Mr O Connor if he fancied matching it , with a split gate it's a no brainer as both clubs will get their money back on every fan that comes who wasn't going to before , so well done both clubs
