Just to let you know Matt I spent several weeks of my formative years in Barrow. I think it would be a walk of just over 10 minutes to Craven Park from Barrow Station.

Managed to get negotiate an earlier finish from work so just booked on the 14:47 from Preston so will be in Barrow for 4 o'clock, job's a good 'un.

On a more serious note, some guy from Barrow has been shot down in flames, for having the temerity to query the k/o change. (on Rugby League.org website) Behind his question was, I believe, the doubt that all interested supporters would find out in time. It's a long way to go, to miss 60 minutes of the game, through not having the internet!

I was planning to watch the reserves at the LSV on Saturday. League Express and the RFL web site has them playing at home this Saturday. Has the fixture been reversed ?

That's the price you have to pay, to fund a big name squad and coach. Plus, there's the opportunity to watch a game in an 'atmospheric' stadium.

Judging by the dummy spitting on the Barrow forum, I don't think we'll ever find out. Can only assume it's floodlight related but we might as well think of a few reasons ourselves, the more obscure the better.....

Well it's dark soon after six anyway so I don't see how the floodlights are an issue - they're still gonna be on for most, if not all the time.

True. However, Des has demanded that we get extra hours of sunlight on Saturday, but was only guaranteed them until 7 p.m. It would seem that, even a person of his power and influence, can only demand so much!
