read into the robbie announcement more closely as you will find the club aint funding the signing,

No as it is it would appear your right, I know te club were enquiring with the RFL about other 'avenues'.
Things have to be seen to be above board due to the 'indescrition' a couple of years ago with the Salary Cap, as it would appear that clubs with 'previous' are scrutinised more often and harder than those without.

You couldn't really have businesses or 'other people' buying players could you - it just wouldn't work. If the owner of a club was really rich and wanted to win at any cost then he'd only need to give all his mates the cash so they could 'buy' the player for the club. We'd be back to the Wigan days when the richest club bought up all the best players - you would in effect be scrapping the salary cap.

If he's 'working' for them it won't! But a player can't be a full time player and earn a wage elsewhere it's against the rules and one of things RFL ironed out recently with cap, like players wife's in shops etc etc!
