Anybody including Leigh Centurions and SL in the same sentance needs to seriously seek help

My problem with this is how long will it be before Wigan exploit it.
I dont trust them.

IF its done as Paul wants and we get a couple of season loanees and a couple of dual regs, then no harm done. As we cant afford to get players in if we have injuries but why not use our own youngsters? If your good enough your old enough, how old was Paul when he made his debut?

However, I think it will go further down the line then that, otherwise why would Wigan bother, its isnt really Wigans fault theres no were for their youngsters to play, as they would have been one of the four or five wanting to run a reserve grade, its the clubs that wanted to cost cut that have forced the RFL into this awful situation we find ourselves in.

Next season, the RFL will change things ,no doubt and now Salford have their cashcow, they along with Wigan, Leeds, Saints, Wire and Bradford will run teams and then chuck in us, fev, fax and sheffield and theres enough for a comp for them all to play in.

So why bother, with this arrangement?

We have a excellant reserve team ourselves, the first team are doing well enough, we've,only lost to the Champions and the runners up for god sake, we will finish in top 8 , I reckon 4th on current form.

So why do we need to do this, what do the club expect the fans to think?
We've just asked our loyal fans for money to cover a shortfall in attendances, will this "partnership" not now make that Shortfall worse, could it be we wont have a club to follow next year?
Im really concerned, I wouldn't want to watch Leigh with 5 Wigan players turning out instead of young lads like Ryan Brierley who works he socks off in the community too, look at young Nicho, sitting out on the sidelines, Higson finishes his rehab to sit also in the stand watching,this,arrangement could well send them further down the pecking order!

I really can not understand it at all.
Player Pathways, in our area as always been good anyway.
We dont need Wigan, that how I see it, they do need us, as somewhere they can send their surplus first team players to play, being 21 of them are under 23.

Im not having a go,just struggling to understand it, and the implications it will cause. Im really worried.

As for the comment on shareholders hanging on to their shares, someone can buys Steves, if they want, no problem. Im sure Arthur also would sell if he was offered money for his. I dont think there anyone else whos still got any.


Another concern of mine is the 15000 , LIsa have given the Club and the Money the Touchdown also have given will now, sooner get swallowed up as the crowds drop and each game the deficiat gets bigger.

Also what if LISA sponsered players are the ones left out to play a WIGAN player?

But that's hardly surprising Alan when we were told in January that we will not be entering any partnership with Wigan, and then what....? It's hardly surprising that people read between the lines when previous statements have obviously since been contradicted. If we can't afford to have a squad without relying on players coming in week-by-week from another club, then cut the cloth accordingly and have a poorer side if necessary.

One thing that speaks volumes is that Thursday's crowd was actually a lower crowd than the vast, vast majority of games from 1998 where we got tonked virtually every week.

At the moment we do not need any DCs BUT as we know injuries happen .Last season we depended on DCs from Warrington but thats ok as they were from Wire .I really cannot see PR overlooking any of the current team to accommodate Wigan players .

11 shareholders of a Ltd company yet only two being active directors and helping to run the company while it's stock is so low???

A company with a book value of -200k plus so what does that make the shares worth??

Not really the place this I suppose but the club will never ever rid its past and move on till this issue is sorted once and for all all IMO of course

I thought wigan wanted to cut the reserves because they had a partner club in the centurions,it was the centurions that slowed the process down for fear of losing ST and merchandise sales.

Quite a few players have been used by the centurion u20s,are they still contracted to the mother club or the centurions?

Nothing to do with what club they were from, and signing those players in an injury crisis was certainly VERY different IMHO to having a formal partnership with a club (particularly when only a matter of months ago it was categorically stated that we would NOT be entering in to such a partnership).

The Ltd company Sporting Club Leigh is in negative equity with no assets as such the shares Are not worth a penny piece as things stand.

I resigned as a director when I realised I was no longer able to financially support the club, up to that point I had contributed more than both the current directors had combined

I'm not professing to im taking the agreement on face value and what I was told about on Thursday night by people who with all due respect should know.

Here is not the place really I don't know you you don't know me I know only from doing some research and a scopeinf document on Leigh centurions recently you are obviously Steve Pike one of he eleven shareholders with just under nine percent of the shares in SCL.

I own a local business and expressed an intrest in the buisness till my bank manager showed me the trading accounts and also the director and share holder split.

Anyone with half a brain looking to get on board would feel the same that's why it needs resolving as the first of any steps forward.

All shareholders need to be told either put your differences to one side drop any egos and get back behind us or give up your shares to LISA or someone willing to help.

Right ok but as the RFL will not let us have DCs unless twinned ,what would happen when injuries kick in ? we have 1 loan player in Spencer who we use at the moment the others would have to come from the reserves ,now most of these players will not be ready so what happens then ,throw them in regardless .The RFL have helped to create this problem and forced clubs down this path ,I don't like it but will not stop supporting Leigh .

We have 25 first team players that's more than adequate add to that Spencer that's 26

So unless we have an influx of injuries we won't be using DCs but it only needs 2 injured players in same position to cause a big problem and you are left with playing players out of position .
