I think its worth a try. Few good ups on the Friday games and hopefully attract some new fans. And i think people will see an advantage as it frees up Sundays for family time, or doesn't clash with any football.
My only problem with it at all, is the same as with the Thursday night games. in that younger children will not be able to attend, due to it being rather late and bedtime. But with a good balance of games, everyone is accommodated.

It depends who and how you market something , those already too cynical or lazy to support their local lower tier club wont suddenly become hard core fans just because we start playing on a Fridays , IMO

It's not really that simple to be honest John.

Take your point j.c. If the Friday venture proves successful, perhaps the club will then re-evaluate things - (my assumption that, not from the club)

so were are you thinking new supporters are going to come from? or is there no one out there.

I would suggest the club now needs to make clear targets of who and how it markets the different match days to ?

Can we presume a re-negociation of the catering costs have taken place ? Other wise your facts aren't actually facts as we don't make a bean out of corporate meals based off last years costs!

I dont think that they will all instantly become hardcore fans, but its a lot easier to convince an armchair rugby fan to come to a live match on a Friday night, fresh after being paid for the week with a full wage in his pocket, than trying to convince one to come on a Sunday afternoon.
I dont think there is that much cynicism in the town in this age group, and I think fridays will suit a lot of people more than Sunday.

Im not asking them all to come and buy the shirts and season tickets, but two hours on a Friday night with a few drinks is a winner in my opinion.

When you dont have the biggest fireworks to play with , the most ' impressionable ' will enjoy them the most

Don't know what has been negotiated Ste. The figure of 'over 50%' was from Trevor, this morning. I believe he is looking at the overall corporate packages. For example, inccluded in the price of a box, are ground admission charges and programme purchases.

If you ask him direct, as we did this morning, he will answer.

Corporate box is different, I'm talking corporate meals and I really don't understand how approx 120 people occupying 12 boxes can sway a decision of 2300 average crowd?

I quoted boxes as 'an example', Ste. Is the admission price not included in the price of a meal, too?

By the way, amazingly, all but one of the boxes were taken for the Toulouse game, last season.

The downside of the mixed KO trial is that it will very much have a detrimental effect on ST sales.

Whilst most fans can commit to regular Sunday's and another section perhaps to regular Friday's, considerably less people will be able commit to both for an entire season.

Therefore not many will now be able to justify the upfront purchase especially when you throw in the odd Thursday night game together with the removal of any early bird incentive.

The decision has made what was an already a difficult task to sell ST's (And the TC concept) a much more challenging one.

As alway's I will be looking to get to as many games as I can but knowing I will now be missing an handful of those games I will just pay on the day for the games I do attend.

Sadly I doubt I will be alone with games being played all over the show. I believe it is an ill conceived decision, and I think the club will suffer from it IMO.

That would have been my choice to ' experiment ' with , a couple of ' themed ' nights but without the ' work day ' aspect , also you can go for a slightly earlier start , which means less issues with kids attending

You should ring one or two sl clubs and ask them what else did they do other than swtich to fridays to increase gates.if they target a certain ordiance then perhaps they can help.

It appears that some fans are really organised, in that they have their Sundays/Fridays planned for months in advance.

Is it not possible to plan for some of those weekends, based on the released fixtures, or are things really booked up so far in advance? (obviously I'm not referring to work, as that tends to be outside the control of even the most organised RL person)
