| Watched bits of the game on the comp today , how bad are we ?????, i don't remember a team wearing the Leigh colours being so indisciplined or scrappy . Bad tackling lying on not letting go( not to mention the punch up ) etc , i accept that the french side have improved since the start of the season but on the two occasions we passed the ball to more than one player who then ran 3 yard before being tackled we scored ( if we didn't drop the ball in surprise at it being passed) !!, Always been a fan of Neil Kelly but now i find myself wondering is it the coach or is it the players he has to work with ?, is it a pound shop team or a rusty coach ????? . I just can't get over that when we moved the ball we scored and it looked easy ahhhhhhhhhh dunno

Same as the Barrow game then. It seemed to me at half time against Barrow NK said "your throwing the ball around, stop it immediately and get back to one up rugby".
I'm sure thats not the case but it's how it looked.

Well Mort looked like the only guy who was gonna do any damage against Barrow, and only guy who made yards with the ball apart from McConnell.

| Not a shock result for me.
How Toulouse had performed thus far was the shock.
They'll be at the top of this daft league of which there is no doubt.
What isn't acceptable is a lack off effort from the players.
The French club was never getting a penny of my hard earned but I do feel for those who put faith in the players and spent a small fortune to see them roll over.

| The French for me were good value , well drilled with some good running and passing , i felt that when they got close to the line they were going to score , running onto the ball at an angle cut out passed and a bit of speed , i think most defenses would have struggled but what got me was we didn't offer anything in return . In the past we have played the nervy " whatever you score we will score more " type of game but most of the time we didn't look like we would ge out of our own half , WHY????????????????????

Entitled to your opinion but the fact he scores almost every game is evidence of "damage".
As a full back beating the first man is always a good marker as well and he does that quite a lot also.
Defensively I'd say Donlan is better for sure and Stuart isn't a centre thats for sure.

Ridyard sorry i think hes had his chance and just isn't good enough.
Forwards: totally outplayed for the whole of the game today. Which forwrds would you honestly keep from our current squad? Maybe Hill, armistead? who else honestly?

Been saying that all season but several on here know better
Now the truth is, apart from those several on here who sing his praises I know of no one else who thinks the same. I speak with MANY fans who ALL say he is too slow in everything he does on attack (ok he defends but a scrum half should be causing problems in the opponents defence). To add backing to my view I could give you several names of past players who agree with my opinion (incl. one - probably the best ever scrum half in the world, one - an ex GB halfback, one - an ex GB prop) who all say he is bobbins (or words to that effect ). I think these guys are pretty good judges. Before anyone says "who else have we got", I know, it is NOW a problem but why did we re-sign him?
Why have we gone worse each season and why are we paying off coaches to be replaced by others who produce worse results - Are we now better for sacking Darren Shaw Financially & performances I would say a big NO!
I think someone needs to make some big decisions pretty quick before it's too late. How come teams like Batley, Sheffield, Doncaster etc with home support of 400 'ish, put together a half decent team that competes with us who have 1800'ish home fans. (Don't say it's because of LSV rent because this scenario has happened regularly over the last few years). They all don't have backers with ££££££'s to spare i'm sure.

Which is why there's no point in calling for NK's head.

| Skybet puts now Toulouse in third place to win the Championship grand final behind Halifax and Widnes. There is no shame losing to them away in France. Leigh is a great team and I am sure they will do very well in the rest of the competition.

| You guys don't realise that Toulouse had several former Super League and international players in there:
Eric Anselme (13 - loose) Leeds Rhinos and France
Matthieu Griffi (8 - prop) Catalans and France
Sebastien Planas (4 - centre) France
Olivier Pramil (16 - prop) Hull KR (NL1) and France
Sylvain Houles - London Broncos and Wakefield
They had no preseason preparation (the friendlies were called off because of bad weather). So they are now just starting their season in terms of form.
They are certainties to make the playoffs and they will thump a lot of fancied sides at home. So no disgrace to Leigh.

They are undoubtedly a good side with good players, who are just beginning to gel. What disappointed us, was the apparent lack of commitment and a serious lack of skill/class, shown by our team.
Oh, and by the way, if SL experience is a yardstick, I think eight of yesterday's Leigh team have had SL experience! The difference being - there are former SL players, and good former SL players!

| Totally agree, Alice's Phallus. Can understand Leigh fans being upset by the performance yesterday, but all the talk of possible relegation etc is not realistic, based on your matches so far. I know you are disappointed with your style of play at the moment and I can understand that. However, I think you are being far too generous in your estimation of other teams. As I have posted previously on here, you have now played all the so called top teams, except for Fax. Be honest, until yesterday, did any of them look much better than you? They did not. Toulouse look a very very good side at this level. Any supporters of other clubs who are feeling smug about this result are also going to get one hell of a shock when they go to Toulouse. IMO , so far this season, clubs such as Fev, Widnes, Haven have been playing a very similar style to you. They do not look any better than you and that is why you beat two of them. All the wins you have had so far have not been flukes. In general in rugby, the best team does win on the day. For the first time this season, you have been thumped and though not good for your fans to see, plenty of other fans will now suffer the same fate against Toulouse. A lot of teams in this league do not seem capable of playing a brand of rugby like Toulouse did yesterday, so far this season. Do not imagine that all the other teams are much better than you. They are not. It will be a tight league. Lots of teams will take points off each other.

What a load of b0ll0cks!!
This could be a very competant team at this level.
Coaching is understanding what your players are capable of, if you ask them to do something they are not capable of then they will under perform, if you coach them to play in a way that is below what they are capable of they will under perform.
So understanding there capabilities is a MAJOR component in getting a group of players to be successful as a TEAM.
FFS.................Donlan at CENTRE says it all, Lee Marsh half fit even in the squad is insanity, and the list goes on and on.
Overall the squad should be more than able to compete if understood and coached in a manner that allows them to use their abilities and strengths to their advantage.
ALL TEAMS HAVE WEAKNESS WITHIN THEM....................
Playing to your own weakness is asking for trouble.
All I will say is this.................................
If this continues then it is a FAILING OF THE CLUB AS A WHOLE at all levels.
FFS somebody sort this out.

Still to play Halifax (twice), Whitehaven (twice), Barrow (away), Widnes (home), Toulouse (home) - of the 'top' teams. On current form, we aren't going to get much from them. Then, there's the so-called 'lesser' sides to play away, like Batley (already embarrassed by them at home), Gateshead, and Featherstone. We'll have to buck up our ideas for them too!

| I know you have not played some of the so called top teams in the league, but my point is that you have met them all at some stage or in some competition, except for Fax. You have watched them against your team in a competitive match. You have played Haven, Widnes, Fev, Barrow, Toulouse etc and I maintain the only one of those teams that really impresses me and looks much better than you at the mo , is Toulouse. How come all your other games(not just a one off) have been really tough battles and then all of a sudden you are hammered against Toulouse? I may be wrong, but to me, on the form they showed yesterday, they are clearly the best team you have faced this season and by some distance. It might not be of any consolation to you, but they will beat a lot of other sides too. It is the first time this season that I have been genuinely impressed and surprised by a team and credit to them. On the subject of having to buck up your ideas to beat Widnes, I do not think you do. You proved that all of nine days ago, when you beat them and based on the territory and dominance you had for the last twenty minutes, could have done so quite a bit more heavily. A lot of Leigh fans seem to forget the wins you have had. They were not flukes. They happened for a reason against Widnes, Haven, Donny, Sheffield etc. You were the best team on that day. You were robbed away at Fev and from what I have heard, were thrashing Barrow and should have taken the points and gone top of the league. I am not saying you are wonderful, but neither are most others in the league. You are definitely good enough to compete well and have already more than proved this. Believe me, it does not make it any better for you, but a lot of other teams in the division do not play the champagne rugby that every fan dreams of. I will say it again. Lots of teams will take points off each other this season and gone are the days when one team is constantly winning with cricket scores. I admire the way Toulouse played yesterday and would love Leigh to adopt a similar style. Leigh are definitely not fluent at the mo, but they do have talent. Guts and determination can only carry you so far. If they were in Super League, they would obviously be being thrashed. The reason that yesterday was the first time you've been hammered in this league, is that you have the ability for this level of rugby and playing in the right manner (more expansively and fluently) and getting your best team on the pitch, you could be a more than useful outfit IMO.
