Are you suggesting that until/unless crowds are allowed, we go with the current squad? The other Super League clubs who have made significant signings seem to be taking a different view.

Would it be fair to say that the club is likely to be in the midst of bringing more players in? Also, it would be respectful to be a little desisting at this delicate time, with the recent sad passing of AP.

Don’t think anyone is suggesting that at all, other SL clubs are in a position whereby they have an extra 9 months or so to plan their signings - we were always going to be in the back foot, most decent available players would have been touted about and snapped up before they’d heard our name
The club was happy to run £800k in funding behind those teams - I can only imagine DB will fund the shortfall if he finds the right players

I have paid for my ST, but if there are no signings of note and the season is again disrupted I will NOT repeat NOT be donating my fees to the club, I will be claiming them back.

Yes of course we were going to be on the backfoot only finding out we are competeing in SL as late as the 14th December, so what would you expect the clubs priority to be upon being given the nod, perhaps a good start would be to strengthen a squad amassed to compete in the Championship!

It is not as though those that matter to us, those who will be our competition to avoid the 12th spot being Wakefield, Hull KR and Salford they haven't been dormant in signings since we found out we would be playing them for points to stay up is it? They have been very active in signing player's to strengthen squads that would have been no worse than what Leigh have.

I think we are forgetting this is standard Leigh behaviour when it comes to communication.

A flurry of activity over a period of 4 months and then silence for another 3. Like a continental shift pattern.

The season has already been disrupted.We are going to have fewer rounds.
The final start date will be dictated by the World Cup.
RU are already considering scrapping promotion/relegation.SL will have to do the same.
In any circumstances it would be reckless to spend anywhere near £400k on one player or even two.Doubt anyone justifying such money is available anyroad.
In revised circumstance we may be better keeping us money in us pockets.
I suppose you will be giving up any st priority entrance opportunity seeing the club hasnt disclosed any transfer talks to you or even Hull kr Salford Wakefield and Uncle Tom Cobley

Leigh will be at least £750k short of any SL club regarding funding. They would have received £250k remaining in Championship. SL probably around £1.7M per club. Not sure where you get £350k from H? It’s asking a lot to make that shortfall up. Certainly easier for existing SL club chairman to make their shortfall up than Leigh’s.

Now is seriously not the time for issues over communication

Can repeat it all you want, the club has stated on their website there will be no refunds - and in all honesty I don’t blame them, everyone has a choice and because of those conditions I chose not to until the situation was clearer.

If it’s good to go for fans my money’s ready and waiting x 3 at least

Harry a caveat was issued by the club that for those wishing to purchase a ST, that if fans who did purchase one would forgo the compensation if fans were unable to attend.It was made crystal clear before anyone purchased one.So good luck in trying to claim anything back!

Thanks Bart I did not know that I phoned up to the ticket office to order the ST and do the transaction, that information was not reiterated to me to emphsise the "crystal clear" clarity as you put it by the sales iffice staff, bad show if what you say is true I did not see the caveat, can you provide a link please.

Thanks very much for that, but all of that is relating to playing in the Championship with a squad being assembled for the Championship and quite catagorically states a date that the offer is available for purchasing a Season Ticket and relating to staged payments on the [upublicised prices.[/u
I purchased my season ticket in full after the offer date had passed and AFTER the club had been 'promoted' to SL and just as important at a price in excess of the publicised prices which I was informed would be commensurate with price increases in line with performing in SL, as far as I know the club has not issued an amendment to the now 'outdated' statement that has been linked here, nor did the Sales Office Staff inform what would be the policies pertaining to purchasing a Season Ticket for performing in SL, I now know what the implications would be if the club was still in the Championship but they have as I state not updated any information relating to new SL Season Tickets.
In a nutshell the club has been awarded much more funding than it was budgeting on if it had remained in the Championship and as stated in the publication season ticket monies was for player saleries, the goalposts have significantly been moved.

Those conditions haven’t changed, if you try to buy a season ticket now the website tells you the same as it did before - no refunds to be issued. Hopefully crowds, even if limited, get allowed in and you gets first dibs - no complaints from me if you do

I am relating to that I have purchased a season ticket for the SL season, not as I said for the Championship which the notification relates to. The mere fact that I paid £205 for a concession ST not the published £160 renders the whole document null and void.

In my case Col, it would be interesting to see when the 'new' conditions were published, as I say I contacted the sales office either on the day or the day after the SL announcement was made to purchase the Season Ticket if at that point the sales sraff had said to me, are you aware that if the season does not go ahead or is truncated that there would be no refunds or future discounts, had I been told that I would have not gone ahead with the purchase.

I’m lost with your debate H! We have a global pandemic and you are given a choice on buying a ST. One of which (and good ya) you have purchased. As for getting your money back.Looks like you jumped the gun on this occasion. With a little luck we may see fans attending at some point.

So Harry you purchased a ST after Leyth were given the SL gig and the Club issued the caveat on the 3rd November 2020.Fairly sure it was also issued via the local press (Leigh Journal) and the caveat wasn`t rescinded?
