A good example of this will be our dealings with SKY now, SKY didn't like our TV gantry... So we are building them a new one (hear they love LSV btw). Whereas Barrow refused to put up flood lights for TV.

At Championship launch they commented on how easy Widnes were to get hold of and speak to. Yet Penky for Fax got off early forcing SKY to visit the Shay and speak to Ben Black about the franchises coming up.

It's all about making the pay masters happy tbh. And in the media's case make sure you get as much free exposure as possible!

The fact people say they have had run ins with the RFL, so what name another sport were that would have any effect?

Tiddlwinks International but they do not play professionally anymore as a sport because they were doing ok then they started insisting on new boards on which to play.You could not play if you where too near Bognor Regis (apparently there are too many decent players in nearby towns).

They then insisted about 3 years ago that only the current top players in Tiddlywinks could play at the top table. There are no professional tiddlywink teams anywhere now. They lost their TV contract and noone plays professional tiddlywinks because they have gone over to snakes and ladders.

Tiddlywinks was thriving where it was most popular but in the towns where it was followed they all took up snakes and ladders.

I was the one who made this point although you've misrepresented what I was saying and I suspect that's why you didn't quote me. I merely made the point that all the people saying we're being treated favourably and spuriously assuming this decision was made years ago to accomodate us are ignoring the fact that the RFL has in the past made scapegoats out of us and has absolutely no reason to treat us better than anyone else unless we have the best license bid, in which case what is the problem?

The reason they will be promoting a team who finish mid-table is because we have listened to the RFL's guidelines and done exactly as we were told. We are by FAR the best option. If the guidelines said we have to finish top of the league then we would have played every game with established players and wouldnt have bothered giving any young lads a run out. Get with it, your living in the past! You should be glad that you are in the championship!! You would be in the lower league if gateshead hadnt gone into administration.

There have been many articles and well known greats and the majority of other superleague teams which say it can be no other than Widnes. Everything points towards us and we are the best supported club outside of Superleague..FACT. I just hope we do get in because it would be great to rub it in when we come and visit for the NRC quarter final and it would be nice to start with a win on Sunday

The same young lads you will dump for ageing aussies, after you get the nod next Thursday you will find that the rest of your season is pointless and your welcome at other Championship grounds may not be quite what you are used to. Hey you could even be the first team ever promoted to a higher division from a relegation position, thus contributing to the much ridiculed image that the 'sport' has now got. Have fun in SL.

We have by far the best support in this League, so that is a stupid thing to say. Look at our average attendance from the past 3 home games: Widnes- 2800. Leigh- 1500. I'm afraid to say that is absolutely terrible. To be honest I think you'se are just getting massively jealous of the Widnes club. We may not be the better side but the way our club is set-up and our fan base makes yours look like an amatuer club.
