Didnt think there was much in it to be honest

Aside from our goalkicking our composure near the line was abysmal in the second half and for most of the game not that great and that was the only difference for me, thought we made as many breaks as Leigh did, just Leigh didnt cock them up

Had we kicked our goals and the early 2nd half penalty, 20-12 is a different game with the pressure on Leigh but hindsight a wonderful thing

I expect a different game next week but a very similar scoreline...not sure which way yet - see if ridyard fit and higson banned

Widnes took over a 1000 to Salford. What a waste of money from Kouckash. I know a few Widnes fans watching Liverpool today. Only a 1000 from Salford is terrible for a home game and shows Superleague teams don't take it serious. Leigh next round at Widnes please.

George Flanagan - him and Ellis and the hooking in general today was probably the only posistions where we were probably better than Leigh today for me

Widnes took 1000+ to Salford today. Home support was diabolical.

Todays game was so good , for me Ryan Brierley is class , gets better every game , so valuable to the team not just scoring tries , his ball handling is superb , Fev looked nervous every time he had ball in hand .

Our forwards were immense again today , a good atmosphere . most Fev fans great . I met Fev Grinder and a few others in the George before the game , they are true fans , even met Salfordlad



it must be 60 years since he was a lad though .

Whos next for us in the Cup ?Im not bothered , we owed Fev one and proved we can do it , round 2 next week .

When TG gave Ryan that inside ball for the try, his acceleration was astonishing. It looked like Fev were in slow motion. What also impressed me was two things. The way the boys raised their game after loosing Riddy. Could have been a crisis but big Sam and some others were shouting and really getting the players, and the fans going. Also I go to the tunnel to clap the boys off and saw all the players who had not played, in their club suits, high fiving and hugging the lads coming off the field. Their is a proper feel of camraderie.

That is very important. We could probably all name an all time leigh 17 and not many if any of the current squad would get a mention, but in terms of the team, and how they work for eachother I think this is one of our best teams for many years.

I thought we started off in the best possible way and totally shocked Fev but then I thought we was trying to outmuscle them up the middle which I was unimpressed with as it killed our skill and became a slog, of course looking at the last 20mins it could be we was actually battering there big guys to leave them nothing in the tank when it mattered.
Brierley, Goulden and Barlow all in the running for M.O.M (think Barlow got it),we can and need to improve and PR will have some things to take from today to make our performance even better.
Having said all that it would be churlish to concentrate on the negatives of what was a good game of RL between two evenly matched teams, I felt a couple of tries on another day for Fev would be chalked off for crossing but it evens itself out as I also think the ball steal (what a ball steal by the way) could have easily been given as a try (I'm sure LCTV will show the calls was correct and my biased views as just that).
When Brierley was in full flow no one could live with him and it was a pleasure to see, his trys proved vital in front of a brilliant vocal home support.

From arriving at the ground to departing this was a good day out, the flags was a great touch and added colour with all the off field stuff handled very well, I think today will entice a few back as if we do that more often our gates will climb as today was a very good family day out that provided fantastic value for money.

Loved today. Every second of it. One of the best rugby days at LSV, maybe the best?
North Stand was bouncing. Great atmosphere, great win.
Had to shoot straight off after final whistle, so for the first time couldn't clap the lads off.
Me and the mrs were massively impressed with the Fev fans coming the other way, all saying well played, see you next week and one shook my hand and said well played, the best team won.
The greatest game. By far.

The 'goon' after that first try was something else, knew we were on to a winner after that. Mental.

Bottle throwing according to their forum. To their credit, it seems the rest of the Fev fans 'shopped in' the culprits, good on them.

Yesterday was awesome that was probably the best game & match day experience the LSV has ever had

Yeah they threw it at Ryan and like you say, the fans there pointed out the culprit and were shouting 'get him out', so all credit to them.

Also, the referee wasn't happy at all about Ryan throwing the ball into their crowd after scoring his 2nd try down that end and he gave him a 'talking to'.

(We were sat next to the RFL timekeeper who had 'ears' with the ref.)

The support in the North Stand, was awesome. It must have lifted the lads.

Did anyone else notice Sam Barlow at the end of the game? He actually went and applauded the Fev fans, before jogging over to the North Stand. He was obviously better appreciated in his short time at Fev, than he was at 'Fax. I thought it was a really sporting gesture by him, and the Fev supporters who responded to him.

And didn't he have a great game? (despite the heavy strapping on his leg, in the second half)

Yeah sam was and still is well liked - think both player and club suited one another at the right time

There has been banter all week with him regarding where his priorities were

but it was all good natured and it was taken that way

he posts on fevs facebook page every now and again like a few ex players do

Well done to all the fans that travelled over apart from an handful of fools they behaved very well and we had some good banter with them as rugby league should be.........

Sam and the rest of the team played magnificently and at times tackled like their lifes depended on it Brieley was again brilliant his speed is something else but he shows immaturity throwing the ball into the Fev fans he did it at Halifax and needs to kick that habit into touch Brilliant day all round great Atmosphere and terrific rugby from two great teams Well Done to everyone concerned into making yesterday special

I do not think it is immaturity it is just his way of celebrating a job well done and how could it offend anyone ?

Let's say an opposition player scored and threw it into the North Stand 'doubt any of us would be bothered' we would be too busy discussing why it had been allowed to happen ie the opposition try.
