I know Leigh have tried to nip this in the bud but if the lads in question have not failed drugs tests then maybe the RFL should step in and make a statement because it is unfair on the players involved. Im all for innocent until proven guilty but its not the sort of rumours that need to be flying about, not only are they not good for Leigh, they are not good for the game.

Having said that, I haven't been around long.
Some of the stuff you post is amusing, some (not many) are bang on, others are just plain ridiculous.

Generally speaking, I quite like Fax fans, they are among the more well informed RL fans, the Club itself is fine too.


Back to your topic, if these "rumours" are true, it will be bad for the club & us fans.
For all the positive stuff that has come out of Leigh this season & last (there is plenty) there are some real negatives too.

Thankfully the on field stuff has outweighed any silly off field shenanigans, but this would be hard to take.

You are spot on with the RFL stepping in & making a statement quote though, should it be required.

There are no rumours flying about or otherwise. Some jelous, unimaginative Fev fans decided if their team were on drugs so must everyone else, we confirmed if anyone was it'd be official by now. End. Not sure what the RFL do all day but I'm certain it's not their place to scan the internet for poor attempts at trolling on fans forums & put all the utter rubbish idiots love to spout on the internet right.

Lots of rumours flying about for quite a while now, what worried me was that I was hearing them of late from officials from clubs rather than 'in the know' fans. I think the RFL testing is stringent enough that it would be hard for the number of players on a scale of what has been rumoured to get caught out. If anything it would be one maybe two at most like we had seen at other clubs hence why I do not think they is anything in the rumours but I still think it could be sorted easily enough, I know Leigh made a statement but that could easily be backed up by the RFL or even the company that does the testing.

The RFL have nothing to comment about, imagine them commenting about every bitter Fev fan started rumour. Last year we were breaking the cap, this year after getting two banned that played in the GF its we are using drugs, oh and also breaking the cap again.

Which "officials" are these that seem to know so much more about what's happening at Leigh than anyone there? The rumours were blatantly rubbish from the start, I'd be embarrassed to still be repeating them now.

So Mickey Higham isn't coming to Leigh, at least not this season, maybe next.

I think it is great that PR is looking towards local lads playing for Leigh, not quite sure that his age is a limiting factor though. Should we be concentrating on the younger up & coming talent or those who are at their peak now ?

Currently I see Foster & Reynolds as well as Kay as ones to get on long contracts, 3 or 4 years so that in the event we don't get in SL, other clubs will have to pay a Kings ransom to prize them away.

I like Mickey Higham as a player & it is a bonus that he is also a Leyther, but do we need him ?

Yes!! Still one of the best hookers in sl sign foster up as well he is the future but sl will be good in a few seasons. Higham still has a couple of years at the top!!

Higham and Foster sharing the number 9 role would do for me next season.

I don't know the extent of penky's injury, however, we have targets in the NRL including a kiwi hooker.
