North stand focus group really? out of the five that regularly meet, 3 of us where unable to attend, 1 im not sure if he was there but he is one of the most mild mannered people i know and the other one did go and he wouldnt abuse our own players, especially ryan as he was condemning these actions via twitter after the match. If you would like verify this then you are more than welcome to come to our next meeting, but making wild assumptions does not help.

One of our players gets a bit of abuse by our own fans and all hell kicks off...and yet, when our fans abuse an opposition player its not even frowned upon..

Ryan Brierley has been a pleasure to watch in a Leyth shirt this year. What an exciting talent he is. I am sure he will keep up the good work for the rest of the season. There is a lot more rugby to be played yet this year and I expect Ryan to play a big part as the season unfolds.

For anyone to have a go at young Ryan is terrible , the lad has been a star all season , i met him at the Fundraising for Connor Young , and he was great , couldnt do enough for us , to have a go at any player is not good though , none of us were happy after yesterdays performance , i heard some having a go at PR , yesterday was make do and mend , im gutted not to be in the NRC Final , but will be cheering the lads on next week against Dewsbury .

I thought the following was very good yesterday ,we had a few injuries as we all know , i dont think Ste Maden was fully fit either , still support the boys .

Not just yet...got the Hibs pre-season tour to Belgium & Berlin in a few weeks though!

I watched the game last night and it was like watching us play a team from a higher league, we were made to look very poor which we all know we are NOT. Fev were excelent in all departments from what i saw. I would say it was like watching us in 2000 (the year Turley broke the records) or as a previous poster put like watching us against Salford when they were relegated to our league. I thought Brian Noble hit the nail on the head when he was talking about Paul Rowleys nightmare of seeing his team lacking key men and not being able to have an answer because of a small squad and injuries, but yeah the way Fev stopped us playing and threw the ball around was better than most SL games, even if it was painfull being a Leyther.

It's been a pleasure to watch a talented young player like Ryan B the lad has a great future in the game and his exciting to watch he has scored some brilliant try,s this season and is out n out Leigh and is such a nice young bloke .
I,m glad the Centurions can get youngsters like that if only for one season
It makes watching LEYTH exciting most of the time

I have just spoken to Ryan and he's fine,storm in a tea cup really,he's more upset with himself that he didn't go back when the fans
called him over,he's never had any abuse aimed at him before(apart from away fans) so was thrown off track a bit.
Looking back he said he didn't really think it was aimed at him in particular,he was just in the firing line,next time he will ignore it!



Ryan absolutely loves the Leigh fans,and he feels honoured when they ask for an autograph or a picture or when he has a baby shoved in his
arms! and i may be biased,but anybody who has met him will know what a lovely lad he his.

On the Ellis rumour,he never got told he wasn't wanted,although Ellis would have started with Riddy if it was possible to get him signed.

I told Ryan i was going to post on here,and he told me to thank everyone for all the good wishes,his twitter went into meltdown!

Oh and the boys who cheered him up and got him a drink last night,he said thanks but he doesn't drink so had to dump it!

I saw how upset he looked too last night and I heard that rumour too, so where its come from I dont know. Hes a lovely young man and well mannered, he hasnt let Leigh down in all his time with us, last night wasn't to be, some fans need to get over it and support their team.

Good on the lad, he must know by now that he's well liked at Leigh and shouldn't let a few upset him, i know that's easy to say maybe as he gets a little older he will learn to ignore them, well done Ryan.

Over-confidence may come and bite u on the later in the season.......heard a few of our fans saying it last season then after the NRC final we fell apart.
Said before the season started that Fev have targeted the NRC and will fall away after and not make the GF like happened to us last season.........you heard it here 1st ( not sour grapes as Fev were too good for us on Thursday).

that could happen jay, but i think most fev fans would take a northern rail cup win this year over the grand final as that's the only trophy we've not won in this league
