I think it will be a good few years before anyone gets anywhere near most of Turley's records!!

I'm going to do a piece in Hornets' programme about Mick, he sure is a points machine. I always thought we didn't get the most out of him as we played him on the wing, he seems to have done better at centre.

and to think he could of left and gone to another club, he has been awesome, despite some people who question his defence, were on earth could you get somebody who provides all those points, he must be up in the top 3 for player of the year, along with hilly/ellis, mind on saying that any number of the boys could deservce to get player of the year.

Dividing points scored by seasons played then Nanyn is top of the tree with 288 and JW 5th. Any additional points Nanyn scores this season will only increase his average.

Which would still put him behind Turley, who I believe averaged over 300 a season!! His stats used to be on the official site - not sure if they are anywhere else, but Dave Parky should be able to confirm...

If I remember rightly, he amassed over 1500 points in 5 seasons - and if you take into account that he only played a handful of games in our SL season, then most of those were scored over four years.....which makes the figures even more impressive!!

It does make you think though - how much better would Nanyn's record have been if he'd been playing for a decent club all during his career....instead of just the last couple of seasons???

Hasn't he just broke the Swinton season record? - Can't remember the figure, but pretty sure it's over 350!! - and he also got their points in a game record as well last weekend - 30 v Sth Wales!

Knew he'd scored a bucket load, but wasn't sure how many exactly. Similar to Nanyn it seems, in his ability to be a prolific points scorer in the lower leagues.
