Why the F do we bother, well if he does go elsewhere I hope we sue him for all the work that has been put in to satisfy our Borders Agency

was he supposed to be arriving this week? If hes not here yet is there anyone in the know as to why hes not here? Maybe the club could give us an update

If i remember coirrectly from info posted on this board his visa application went in in Oz around a fortnight ago and it was stated it could take 25 days. So it was always unlikely he would be here this week.

What have you heard, where did you hear it and can you say who you heard it from?

The RFL have sponsored Williams to come to Leigh, in doing so he would be unlikely to go to another club as his visa and work permit application will be for Leigh Centurions plus the club (if any) that are interested would have to be a 'sponsorship' club (accredited by the RFL to sponsor) -thats how I read it anyway.

The application was made around the 4th May and it was said that it would take 4 weeks at least to process which takes us to the 1st June 2009 AT LEAST, it is the authorities in Canberra that are vdragging their feet not Leigh, the RFL or Williams himself.

if he went back there he would be 5th choice half back he left because he was the third choice so.........make your own minds up.

Watto is ill after a 'mystery bug' swept through the 'camp', it is believed to be a variant of the 'swine flu' sweeping Britain at the moment but this strain originated in Widnes and not as bad so its the 'bacon butty' flu bug.

How do you know he has not been picked?

I would have thought it would have been silly not to have picked him for the squad if there were any doubts over Wattos availability?

Unless of course the squad was picked before Watson got ill which I would have thought unlikely?

Ridyard in for watto, don't think Durbin has been very impressive in recent weeks he is very frustrating at the amount of time doesn't take on the line

Agreed, although he has scored a few tries (batley away etc) he actually added very little in terms of the position he was playing. Not come close to matching the expectations I had after watching him early on in the season.
