Since seeing your post, Col, the above-mentioned has been frantically and vainly looking for the name of a phobia that passed under his eyes about forty years ago. It was the ambiguously named "fear of glass bottoms".

This Bongser took as being the fear of seeing the bottom of a glass (the glasses from which B then drank usually bore the branding "Arcoroc"icon_wink.gif rather than Debbie Harry's fear of "Ass of Glass!" What Debbie's erstwhile costumier, Brigitte, chose to share with Bongser... (as they used to say in closing "Tales of the Riverbank"icon_wink.gif is another tale.

The point of this ramble is Col, fully agree that the glass is half full until we are told otherwise. Should it be proven empty, Bongser will replace his dental plate and order another pint.
