My view is we were doing ok till Ryan Brierley went off then Pownall and Kay both took knocks which left them off their usual games.

No need to panic just improve our defence in the forwards. Centurion TV will show their second try was not just marginally offside and their last one was a bad pass as we tried to get an equalizing try in the dying moments of the game.

Our players will be just as gutted as us fans and will be desperate to put things right on Saturday.

Agree with your sentiments about the defeat Frank, although we have enjoyed possibly more than our fair share of 'offside' tries and interceptions this season too.

Would suggest this has been coming for a few weeks, no great surprise nor is it the end of the world.

IMO we have tended to burn ourselves out towards the end of the season for the last few years now - hence why we have had little success in the play offs. Can maybe see that happening again this season, but the target for this season is somewhat different and it looks as though we will achieve our main goal comfortably

Top spot would definitely be 'Mission accomplished'. Anything beyond that, in the play-offs would be a bonus.

We are playing some very desperate teams in the next few weeks. I'll only be happy when the maths says so. Injuries can only be carried for so long and it looks like Ryan was already carrying this injury before yesterday. Hopefully Batley will do us a favour this week so as to allay any panic which may be about to set in.

I don't think for a minute that we will 'burn out' towards the end of the season. We lost a game with a couple key players missing it's not the end of the world.

We have a bigger squad than we've ever had before and we also have some cracking U20's players who will have no problem stepping up to the plate if we need them.

I have no doubts at all that we will actually win some play off games too (shocking prediction I know).

We have no need to panic , I never look at my horse as a winner until its past the post , but seriously Fev can only accumulate 66 points if they win every game , Fax and Donny can only get 64 points if they win every game , at present we have 55 points , so we need another 11 points to secure Top Spot , trouble is Fev have to travel to Leigh and Fax , Fax have to travel to Donny , so they all cant win every game .My prediction is another 9 points will see us home .

Swinton and Rochdale for me are already doomed to relegation ,NW Crusaders are stood on the trap door , Barrow have gone , so its hey boys hey for the 5th relegation place ,between Worky , Keighley , Haven ,Dews ,and the Bullfrogs , should be a great battle there , my tip to go Down ?Keighley .

As for Leigh , it was always going to happen , we have lost a game , and will deal with it , move on , and come back stronger , hopefully Ridyard back on Saturday , along with Acton and Sarsfield , maybe Walker making his debut , hopefully Ryan back at 7 , the lads looked upset yesterday , and could make Keighley , pay for it .

Just watched the game again on Centurion TV.

Fast forward to 62 minutes and that 3rd Donny try was definately offside by some distance.

Ah well second half our lads were not their usual selves.

Before that however we had a penalty under the Donny posts and instructions from the bench were to take the two. Penky tapped and we subsequently lost.

Bet PR has some tough things to say to the players when he and they analyze the DVD.

Jack Holmes impressed me in the reserves at Fev and wouldn't mind seeing him or foster getting a bench spot if we play both hookers starting again

Jack did have a good game but Im told that he is an outside back come second rower by 'trade', unfortunately young Lewis has suffered a loss of form since his first team call up.

Jack is simply a great RL player imo, he has great vision and a RL brain

First up well done to the lads on such a good run, its a achievement in any league.......having said that the defeat has been coming for a few weeks so no shock as Donny are a decent team.
We do seem to run out of players come the business end of the season so would hope we are now looking at recalling the loan players to give us the strength in depth which having a big squad can deliver.
That said using losing your main play makers usually means you lose / struggle in a game regardless of opposition.
Can understand the talk of the top 2 being important but also hope we put on a show in the play offs as that will show potential players who we want to attract with the extra money we would get if we finish 1st/2nd that we are the real deal and equally as a fan its been a long time since we've had a shot at winning the GF.

Keighley came back v Town today so our lads need a disciplined focussed 80mins against a team that nearly beat us at the start of the season, we are capable if we stop giving away penalties and carry on playing the RL we are good at ..............the new run starts on Sunday.

Well -we can see clearly what Riddy's value is to the team!

I've just watched the game highlights, and although I know a defeat has been on the cards, how often do we concede the same try? The kick to pownalls' wing has happened twice in two weeks, the dart from acting half under the sticks has happened several times this season, and the easy overlap on our left has popped up quite often too. I don't expect flawless rugby, nor do I expect us to never concede, but it looks like a team has just watched the highlights of the week before and carried it out against us again. Gutted we lost our record, but very proud of our 'start'. Cut those frequent methods of concession out, hopefully the passes start to stick, and I'm sure some poor set of blighters will get bored of standing under the sticks.

Well Doncaster away was always going to be one of the hardest games of the season but with no half backs, didn't really look like we had much of a plan in attack at times, stood still looking for someone to pass to. Not quite sure why we messed the team about so much when Kay came to us as a half back and AJ was back to play on the wing but Rowley must know what he's doing. Doncaster were the better team, hopefully Riddy and Ryan will be back next week and that'll be our only defeat.
