I agree its all about the word Wigan as like Frank said nobody batted an eyelid when the DCs were coming from Warrington .As long as Leigh don't abuse the system like Swinton have then I don't see a problem as its exactly like last season and the season before and just because Wigan have x amount of players under 23 that can come to Leigh does not mean they are all good enough to play in our 1st team .

I'm going to see how it goes but we do really need to learn all about using the media and comunication skills , as we are terrible at it!
When we have good news we wait till it's leaked and the club don't get maxium effect from releasing it. When it's bad news or this latest one, it gets sneaked in the Reporter but very vague so no one really knows what happening.
Why wasn't it in the programme Thursday as the club knew all about it then ??
If something goods comes out of this then great but it could now bite us on the bum big time which is terrible after all the hard work that's been done.
We have a brilliant under 20s doing really well, and some of them could play I'm sure in games like we have coming up and now are they going get a chance when Shane Wane sends us Dom manfredi Jack Hughes Sam powell etc.

To be honest if Wigan said you can have Spencer and 2 others on a season loan or dual erg I would have no concerns but could be different ones every week.
I feel sorry for our own players here too, there's Higson, Rowe , nicho who haven't played a game yet , what chance have they got now?
We don't need wigan , they need us because with a first team squad of 37 and a 19 s squad of 30, 4 of are in first team squad also but you can see the point I'm making, it suits Wigan more then us.

However much you want to dress this up, it is a partnership/twinning with Wigan. It is the thin edge of the wedge before we are the official feeder club for Wigan after the next set of licences in 2015, when there will be no P&R reintroduced. Something as bad tasting as being the feeder club for Wigan has to be brought in gradually and this is the start of it. How long before we see Wigan playing a game at the LSV to get the young fans in the Leigh area watching them. I was brought up with a real hatred of Wigan in the derby games and I just can't accept any arrangement with Wigan.

Those "supposed" made up scenarios have all come true in the last 3 or 4 years.

I'll tell you another made up scenario - next season YOUR club will be running with a much reduced contracted squad next season and YOUR club will be using masses of players from one club on loans and dr.

If it works like what we had with Warrington or even last year, then people wont have a problem with it. I certainly wont, but I dont trust Wane.
If Wane decides to manipulate us and tell us who to play then its a big problem, Wigan wouldn't have agreed to anything that isn't in their favour.

Despite my user name, I have no hatred of Wigan, I have spent nearly 30yrs working in Wigan, I have lots of Wigan friends.

I was best man to a Wigan lad, and am godfather to his first born. And just for good measure we still meet up regularly despite me making him redundant.

Why couldn’t we just simply loan a player or two?

With 21 from 37 players U23, potentially we could end up with 21 different players pulling on the Leigh shirt at some point of the season. I know that’s highly unlikely, and PR will decide who does and doesn’t play but he can only select from those they make available.

What does this do for our own development? Could under the terms of this partnership say Josh Ward now become a Wigan Player?

Quite simply GLOW Wigan NEED a twinned club at a higher standard than South Wales, they have to because they have essentially 2 full squads with nowhere to play them, they might well have players 20/21/22 years old who will struggle to play more than 3/4 games this year

How can that develop a player

The only saving grace to this is it might change next year when they reinstate reserve grade, in the meantime our fan base gets more dissoloutioned

Our club is on it's @rse because the people running it foolishly budgeted it wrong on higher attendance basis than we should have calculated for whilst still paying outstanding debts

They now go & do this with wigoon so how is this going to bring in more fans? We showed last season we can challenge for silverware on a tight budget but we ran out of fit players so this season we've bought more players in (more than adequately IMO) so why the need to twin with the pies? It does make me wonder whether wigoon are financially helping out when we're really struck for cash in the exchange of bringing on THEIR PLAYERS FOR THEIR BENEFIT you scratch my back I'll scratch yours. Am convinced this partnership is all about Wigan Borough and not Leigh RLFC
Will this CEO and the board never realise what Leigh Rlfc means to the fans last year the ceo decided we will go to Friday nights no discussion what happened their failure
