If Lammy can get Milford out of his lazy suspected attitude, He'll accompany Lockie with devastating effect, and destroy many SL teams next season. Reynolds is a decent champ player but, we need that important execution when it matters, and Ben just didn't have that most of the time.

Prior to last season's outset, when the general consensus hereabouts was that Joe M would be in the halves with Lam (kudos to Dick Jones as the naysayer), Bongser posed the question "Who will take the place kicks?"

I have to say I’m a bit disappointed with recruitment for 2024 so far, we excelled in 2023 and finally stopped our yo-yo routine.

I completely understand the need to pad out the squad with young reserves but I was hoping to see some better quality signings considering Lams comments about shopping at the top table now.

We have been linked with Croft, Partington etc but as yet other than trout haven’t signed anyone that will improve the starting 13.

I know it’s only early but was hoping for a couple of wow signings.

Totally agree with everything said so far. No impact to the 1st XIII starters, although Norman and Trout will definitely see game time from the bench. It can be argued that the starting 13 can compete in Super League, and the bench will be slightly improved. Wigan, Hull KR, Warrington and Leeds look to be recruiting well and Leigh are going for consolidation and creating a squad big enough to fulfill Reserve fixtures.

Still gaps in the halves, centres and hooker. Expecting Milford to fill one of those areas and would be happy for Sam Powell to fill the reserve hooker role. Possibly another overseas signing to replace Big Ben might strengthen the team.

So we have let Reynolds leave, a solid stand off, good kicker go and look like we have no replacement. So is this worrying or have we already secured a repalcement. Milford still on contract apparently, Croft at Leeds! Who else is available?

Ben's contract was up at the end of the season, we offered him a contract at the level we believed him to be worth, he's decided to take up a contract offer elsewhere. That's quite different than letting him leave.

Now now, don’t let the facts get in the way of people making up their own stories

We still haven’t published a list of released players and seem to be having an really slow off season considering how good the season has been, most clubs have finalised their quota spots. We still don’t know how many we have? Does anybody actually know the contract situation with Ben Nakabuwai?

Ben is one of six out of contract guess on 31/10

with an a team to field must be a nightmare trying to sign double figure number of players
Leeds have given the salford half back a 3 year contract worth over £1million with a trnsfer fee on top the hooker has done well and will be on a good wedge

If we are still looking for a goalkicking stand off to replace Ben Reynolds, Owen Farrell would be an excellent acquisition who would count 0% on the salary cap in year 1 of a contract and 50% in year 2.

Seems to be silence all round. No comment on released players / players who's contracts have expired. Nothing mentioned from the club about the IMG score that would see us relegated if it were a live position. And seemingly struggling to sign a stand off.

Personally, think we need a stand off and a centre/winger to come into the starting 13. And one of them needs to be a goal kicker.

The players will get sorted. They know what we need. Regarding the ridiculous spreadsheet positioning. If Leigh are 12th, they won't be relegated as relegation has been taken away. Anyway, they will increase their points by then with improvements being made in academy/reserves/WRL/social media plus I'm sure we will win another trophy by then.

Wysiwyg, there are no points for academy/reserves/WRL. There are however 1.5 points to be gained from Fandom-Digital. The only other points that Leigh can improve are finance with a whopping 4.5 points available, that would require an on-line shop with more than 3 items available (amendment it now stands at 35 ramping up for Xmas).

No point complaining, all the Super League teams signed up for this.

Joe Mellor is a great sub for Ipape. His tackling is tremendous. Tackles far above his weight. And always an attacking threat with his elusive running. Excellent player.
