Average player whos been lucky

I know its cudda shoulda woulda, but we had Barrow in the bag and but for a bizarre 15 minutes would have beaten Batley.

Add those 4 points and we'd be level at the top with Fax without really getting into our stride with a settled 17.

That is the stand out statistic of our season so far, and tells its own story.

Don't forget Penky and Rowley are big mates. I hate Penky as player i one things for sure in a Leigh shirt he would be a hero!

As I pointed out elsewhere, SL clubs tend to look first at the playing staff of the teams doing well, not those in the middle of the table.

Be afraid... Be VERY afraid.

Sorry to disapoint but several of them are on 2 year contracts with next year to run.By which time we should be reapraising anyway.

Well not this old chestnut again, when he came back from his ban this board was full of talk of "he`d signed ,he`d signed."
Yes he`d signed all right for us . Then last year it was the same eventually you will be right he may end up pulling on a Leigh shirt but can`t see it this next year.Lets not forget he came through with our youngsters he might have been born in Leigh but as his rugby carreer is mostly Fax it will not be a move to Leigh he is looking at not yet for a while.

Yeah but Paul Rowley hasn't been permanent First team coach before.

Be Afraid

Alarm bells were sounding after yesterday. Aparently half our team is ready to jump ship after our 1st defeat. Rumoured that they are all willing to take a massive pay cut and go and play for a mid table team called Leigh who have no chance of making any final in the forseable future.

so eventually a 'cough' that fax are paying 'top dollar' funny you lot were saying they were there for the 'love' of it



Don't get too many nosebleeds your not used to being so far on top.

Your right were not. Spent years as an average SL team then 1st couple of seasons in this league we were pretty poor, only in the last 2 we have looked anything like. It certainly makes a very welcom change for us.

I'm happy for Fax fans to have a bit of success after a long period of grief. A good traditional club with lots of history.

Hopefully they will succeed with dignity, unlike many HKR fans who love to blow smoke up their own backsides when the rest of us remember how bad they were and how many went watching them at the same time.

Hope you're right...we have been through the mill once or twice and been deep in the mire. The last thing we need, should we have success in any form, is an arrogant swagger.

Any success that we, Leigh and anybody else in this division might enjoy will be hard earnt and well deserved....and most probably well respected by others.

I certainly look forward to our impending encounters, not least so I can sample the delights of your catering partners.





Incidently, I can't see any club touching the incredible crowds that HKR enjoy...not now, not ever!!

HKR are a role model for all of us and are a club I respect because of it.

But like I say, there's dignity in success as well as failure.
