| I suppose Moore passing the ball a good 2 seconds after Thaler had shouted held and not giving a penalty but getting Moore to play the ball good reffing. Also the Leeds player who clearly played at the ball - knocking on - inside his own ten and Thaler not giving as back to one good reffing. Both these happened yards from him. Blatant wrong decisions that could have cost us a try and gifted them field position from where they scored. Thaler is poor. Oh forgot about Jonny Pownall knocking the ball out in the tackle and not playing at it where he gave it as back to one where they scored.

It is correct reffing and I would dispute your 2 seconds.

| There is a new rule were if they fail to hear " held " and pass the ball they are just told to play the ball, but we heard held, Moore didn't

| I was at the back of the north stand and I heard it. If it had been a short time before he had passed it yes but Leigh were retreating ready to defend the play the ball. It should have been a Penalty to Leigh Reffy.

| You are possibly correct but the rule was brought in because players were unfairly penalised when passing the ball at the same time that the ref called held. I think this way is better.

| Everyone would like to see a free flowing game, but not to at the extreme of tries being allowed for blatant forward passes. Leeds scored at least 3 tries off forward passes.I would rather the game was played to the rules otherwise we might as well play American Football. And I do wish Sinfield would stop going to the ref for every decision, it's pathetic. 48 - 24 would have been a better reflection of the game.

| Well I think that these rules and the flat pass rules are leading to inconsistencies in officiating and are doing nothing for our game. It makes it easier for an official who is prejudiced against a team or town to hide behind his or her decisions. It also helps the governing body to defend an official who makes bad decisions because the are too many ambiguities in there. Is this wrestling tripe just getting us ready for us joing the RU leagues because I personally hate it. When a player has stopped making forward progress and it is clear that that he is tackled then the tackle is complete. Some officials are waiting and waiting and waiting somemore to give the attacking team more time to get the ball out. It is open to abuse and a clear and strict rule is needed. It does no good to my blood preasure and voice box when I'm on the terrace.

A captain of a team needs to have the official explain his decisions for the reasons I have just posted. I would expect our captain to do exactly the same. I have watched KS at close quarters asking the ref questions and he does it in a very profesional manner. Don't forget he is hyper and in a very tough enviroment when he is on the field. Never ever seen him use bad language either. Wish we had him.

Awesome comment, the best I have read for a while. I suppose what you really mean is that every Ref & TJ l is biased against Leigh; I think paranoia just about covers it.

Well Reffy i really hope you don't make the first grade as you have totally misread my post and if you do that you obviously will do the same with the rule book. Where in any of my posts did I even intimate that I thought that any ref had a problem with Leigh. I merely said it could happen to any club or town.

| I haven't misread your post at all, you are of the opinion that referees are biased against particular teams. It is a concept that I find laughable. I was just fine tuning your idea because surely Leigh fall into the category of "any club or town".
You are obviously not alone in your belief that refs give Leigh nowt but I have to admit that you are less vitriolic than some.

It's a concept, that doesn't exist in the laws of the game, but which SKY TV, as the sport's paymasters, would have us believe does.....and, in SDL at any rate, has now become a self fullfilling prophecy!!

| Forward Pass. Its allowed in SL.
Leeds are masters of it. Sinfields first try was a mile forward. Problem was that the ref was right at the side of him !!! LOL!!!

| The guys did us proud on Friday just a shame that the scoreline didn't more closely reflect the match we watched!!
A couple of the Leeds tries were definitely questionable from where I was stood in the North stand - clear forward pass. As for our disallowed try on half time couldn't call it myself from the North stand but the players reaction spoke volumes about what they thought and my sister got a txt straight away from a Leeds fan in the south stand who said it was a definite try.
Also can somebody shed some light on our second try that was disallowed - we were penalised for retaliation but my understanding from the people around me was the Bailey threw the first punch so the penalty should the penalty not gone our way? This is similar to an incident that went against us last season and resulted in the opposition getting 8 points!! as went against us last year !! the try stands, followed by conversion followed by the penalty goal!!
This would have resulted in a 26-48 scoreline which I feel is a truer reflection of the match and the performance the lads gave!!!
Well done to the team and the fans left the ground on a high thanx to all
PS hubby has just come up with a good question - why in football can a linesman spot a player offside from a 40 yard pass but in rugby a linesman can not spot a forward pass straight in front of him???? I do question why they are there - maybe I should take it up seems like easy money to me!!!

Don't they say that you should "always get your retaliation in first"? On that basis, it could have been argued to be retaliation!!

| If you watch the footage of the 8 pointer it was a bad and stupid challenge by Stu Donlan and deserved the penalty.

| I often say on here that refs have good games and bad games.
We are partisan watching our team as are fans of other clubs no doubt.
I watch other teams sometimes when Leigh aren't playing and what surprises me is I rarely get annoyed with the referees in those matches.
Refs are bound to make the odd mistake but on balance their mistakes even out.

I think you certainly haven't a clue about the game of Rugby League. The referee on Friday contributed to a very watchable game of RL, he made the odd error as they all do. Your error was in going to watch something you don't understand.

| I'm at a loss to see how Friday's ref was bad, or contributed to our defeat. He should be applauded for keeping the game flowing and contributing to the spectacle. As for Leeds scoring from a 'forward' pass, maybe they did. Were all the passes in the marvellous build up to TG's try perfectly 'legitimate'? If we had the luxury of watching the DVD from the correct angles, we would probably spot at least 30 'forward' passes from each side. I personally don't like the number of 'flat/forward' passes we see, but if the ref blew up for them all, we wouldn't get much of a game, would we?

| How much slower was the Wigan/Saints game.
Imo we have recently lost out in play offs as we are too honest at the PTB. I would love the game to be played at that pace week in week out, but there is no consistency and thats where the problem lies.
Thaler gave us nowt, and we needed the rub to keep things interesting, Silverwood gave Fev the rub. Would have loved Ganson on Friday.
