Wigan have some really good young lads coming through , and TB said last night they have offered us 2 on season long loans, and maybe 3 D-Rs ,hope one is Jack Hughes, he is aclassy lad, maybe younger Tomkins to, i think with these lads maybe a young Wire D-R and a couple more signings of our own and we can put upa decent show.

Keith Freer was very Optimistic at last nights Fans Forum , predicting a top 2 finish

As long as there's only 4 in the 18 man squad then it probably doesn't count, bearing in mind the chopping and changing we had last year with McCarthy etc.

Well to put it another way as long as there are only 4 on our books at any one time then it doesn't matter, it would just be a case of a player being taken off the 'quota' whenever he's recalled by his own club, which is presumably what happened McCarthy replaced Mitchell(?) at short notice before the Barrow away game last year.

Regarding last nights comments that Wigan will be supporting Leigh with duals etc. Anyone who has an i pod, look on the rugby league section & the headlines are Wigan have launched a partership with South Wales Scorpions on a duel reg basis & couls incorporate North Wales Crusaders Kris Radlinski & Andy Coley will oversee the partership

Also why would we want young Tomkins, we have 4 hookers signed (although all can play other pivot roles)... it's a mobile pack!

Whilst Dom plays for them he is subject to abuse from me, the majority of the time! ha ha unless he pulls on a leigh shirt but i wont hold my breath on that one!

The only thing I want from Wigan is the bus to Leigh. First step in us becomming a feeder club to Wigan. They know how good our amateur youth set up is in Leigh (East and Rangers).

Suprised we are not linking up with Wire again we have raised the game of the players they have given us i.e Blythe and Tyrone and Mitchell to an extent, thought they might of passed a couple more of there new young stars

Maybe that was the Smith/Millward relationship? I reckon Warrington will still be interested though - there aren't many clubs nearby for them to work with, on D/C's.

st helens too as us and Swinetown only no Widnes this time for Dual regs to go, and BTW has anyone not sussed out why Wigan are keen to get us have some of their dual regs, its because they cant send um Widnes now can they.

I Don't like any DC's as I feel long term it reduces the future of a number of clubs currently outside of SL, It also means the Championship teamsheet can really change on a weekly basis.

5 Wigan players on dual/ loan this season ?

Say the RFL allow for a increase in DC's do we then end up with 6 or 7 Wigan players, how long before its Wigan U21's playing in a Leigh shirt ?

If Wigan are so unprofessional as to not deal with Leigh because of the coach we previously had then for me if our club wants to continue with DC it would be with Wire , Saints , Salford or Widnes - we have plenty to aim for , and lets not forget Cas who now have a great coaching set up in charge with strong links to Leigh.

i would support 17 Eskimos if they were wearing Leigh shirts , only narrowmindedness in Anti-Wigan chants ,as for the Wire realationship , it hasnt finished , we will still be friends with them , but Wigan have some very good lads , why not take advantage of this?

Most of my Family are Wiganers , they are very good People,Charlie Knows.

Asking a lot for kids to train every day at Cas, and then come over to Leigh to train/play at the weekend. You don't get many cross-Pennine D/C's.

I'm not the biggest fan of the DR system , but this season , I'll take whatever we can , if we want to be a stand alone club , then we have to find a way to finance it , till then , we have to bite our lips and bear it

i agree they used to say its hard being aCowboy in Rochdale , but you are right.

I dislike Wigan RLFC, is that OK ? ALL (other) foootie fans HATE Man United.
So Millward used to coach them, and whilst he was here, they avoided us like the plague - that suited me fine.
