| A top quality signing but with an air of caution, 'if' the Government change the rules on unvaccinated people entering the country the move may be scuppered as correct me if i'm wrong but he is against the vaccine from what I've read, so get him over asap.

Either you are impressed by today’s announcement or you are trying to talk to my Scottish Terriers , I’m not sure which .Myself after reading reports it seems our latest signing has concerns over vaccinations ,which is why his contract in the NRL was curtailed , I truly hope we have found a way round this , I realise Derek and Chris Chester are not so naive as not to know this .

And how will he be getting here?
You have to be vaccinated to board a flight into or out of Australia.
"You must show evidence that you have been vaccinated, at least 7 days prior to international travel into or out of Australia, with a vaccine approved or recognised by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)."

This guy is going to give us a huge presence on the field.

| The exemption applications take a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 2 months.
I doubt there should be much issue in him ultimately getting here and when he should be quite an asset when he gets on the field.
Of course, if he does go well, it could just be a stepping stone to SL, and I don't mean with Leigh.

Not a big reader are you?
ULTIMATELY I'm sure (and hope, because he will be exciting to watch), he will arrive.
The rules won't be the barrier in the end - it will be an NRL offer before he leaves, or an SL offer when he's here.
Q What would you say the probability of him finishing the season as a Leigh player are?

Well how will he be getting here? It wasn't a loaded question.
He has 2 options = 1. get vaccinated and travel after 7 days, or 2. apply for an exemption and hope it's heard by 2 weeks rather than 2 months.
Rumours in the travel industry were that the UK (and EU) govts considered making vax status a compulsory measure for inbound flights - that would end the conversation!
They bottled that one in favour of pushing the domestic vax/booster programmes.
(I follow this detail as linked into the international ski/tourism industry).

It was very clearly answered already.
Practice what you so rudely said to others and take a read back.
Always what ifs and rumours out there.
IF it doesn’t happen then so be it.
IF it happens as planned and researched, what a player to have in a Leyth shirt.

| It’s still not a good look for the club or game is it, signing an unvaccinated player who can easily infect fellow players, causing possible postponements due to isolation periods for those other players. Meanwhile spectators might have to be triple vaccinated to get into stadiums. Talk about double standards!!

Very true Derek , I myself have had both my jabs and my booster , but have recently tested positive for Covid ,though I’m now negative , I will say I didn’t have any real symptoms of Covid , throughout and only took the test because my wife was Covid positive , so I feel the jabs DID make a big difference , I’m back to normal now .

Hi Ian, i'm glad to hear that you didn't get severe symptoms. I got Covid 15 months ago, and it knocked me out for about 3 weeks, and a further 3 weeks slowly recovering. You are right though, the jabs do lessen the blow. I also believe that taking the vaccine should be a choice, hence you can get the old kung flu, and pass it on whether you are jabbed or not. BTW - this current Mandela flu is nothing more than a bad cold. I also believe that Vaccine passports are discriminative to those who decide not to take the old jabaroony. Again, hence you can still get the old kung flu, and pass it on whether you are jabbed or not. After saying all that, i think it would be a wise decision to have your jabs if you have any underlying health conditions, overweight, or getting a bit long in the tooth. Blimey! I could pass for all three of them.
