A ticket 'counter' / round up might be a good idea so people know how many are going and can either
A) Make people realise we need to really push this fixture as numbers aren't too high (with 7 coaches booked already - unlikely, must admit I think 20 coaches should be the aim as it sends out a proper message at just the right time, however I'm going off topic !)

or

B) Inform the doubters, newbies, and ex fans who have lost interest / become fed up that they are missing out on what will be the best day Leigh Centurions have had for a very long time so get your ticket now as they are selling like hot cakes.

I am truely gutted that we've only sold 700, by the way the coaches were selling fast and the buzz around the place, i was expecting at least 1500 by now. But 700, wow that really has shocked me. We call Sheffield for having no fans, and at this rate we'll only just be managing 1000 as well. Get behind the team and get to Halifax!!!!

You and me both, its the players I feel for as they have battled hard to get us there and deserve better.

the tickets are reasonable priced, LISA have put on great transport and the new BOM are investing time and money to try and make this club the fans club but the fans need to back us or we will fail its simple.

Plenty of time yet, take stock after people get paid on Friday and have the weekend off to get to the market after working 9-5 all week in this heat.

Not always the case! As those of us who attended the 2006 final will attest to!! Leigh were expected to get a right tatering off the all conquering HKR, after apparently imploding part way through a season that had started with so much promise, and went to Blackpool as major underdogs.....with a vocal, if massively outnumbered support of no more than a couple of thousand!! Luckily our team hadn't read the script!!

Ye I know I understand, but 700 tickets sold a week and a bit before the final doesn't sound promising at all, especially when we get 1400+ at our home games

I must admit this has shocked Charlie , as I thought the Fairweathers would have their tickets by now , maybe waiting for week-end ,when you think about how many Leigh fans went to Donny , or how many are going to Barrow on Sunday , maybe 700 tickets sold is not that bad .

Charlie has always said Leythers are not as good fans as some think they are , unless of course its a Final .

Spoke to Andy today when I got our tickets, he said they're ticking over nicely. Selling a similar amount each day.

So if it was 700 on Wednesday morning after only a day on general sale and 3 working days on sale for ST holders, LISA members TDC members (about half our fanbase) I think that's pretty good going.

Well I got 4 today by phone I just need to pop down tomorrow to collect them and book the coach.

700 is poor.
However its half of our current home support so when looking at it that way it doesn't look too bad.
I agree that 3,000 should have been achievable (and may still be so) but I suppose Halifax is a tougher sell to the rest of the family than Blackpool so the match day event needs to be the 'big sell' and the 'you don't want to miss that' bit of that needs ramping up.

What's the pre match entertainment like, have the RFL got anything on to get people in beforehand (I know London & North Wales are playing - does everyone else know its two for one for example)

Collecting my coach money this week and very few of our lot had got round to buying match tickets yet, sent young glow for ours this afternoon.

Hopefully there'll be a rapid increase over this week end.

That's my thought as well glow, I will be searching for a bar in adeje showing prem sport- so if anyone can recommend one........

Blackpool was a great day out but I have a feeling this could be every bit as good, especially with no work the next day
So please buy them tickets quickly so we can get the next allocation delivered, and remember to tell everyone to buy from the club as we get 25% commission by you doing so
