Can't beat a game under floodlights. Atmosphere always seems better. Corporate always seems to sell out. Bigger crowds. No brainer. Back to Friday nights and stick to it with no swapping and changing to suit the "I've been going for forty years on a Sunday" brigade. Sweep them away and let's target the younger generation of fans who aren't set in their ways. #wewantourfridaysback

Atmosphere might have been better because the game had something riding on it, rather than being a league game that doesn't have much bearing on anything due to the play off system.

I work all week, I go to the pub Friday night to watch SL, I go to the Football on Saturday, I go to watch Leigh on a Sunday.

Start messing me about and I’ll end up having to spend time with the wife.

You've lit the blue touch paper now C&W. I have to say that when it's sunny the weekends are great but a night game at our place is good.

More atmosphere best attendances the weekend is then free and I have more time to do all my fiddly bits with the DVDs and vids, Saturday nights for me Sundays are dead, not forgetting the players and coaching staff most of whom have children and are able to spend a little quality time with their families.

Agreed, Sunday games are old hat. People do other things on Sundays these days, especially in the summer. A mixture of Friday & Saturday night games under the floodlights is a winner.

Been saying it for years Sundays are yesterday Friday or Saturday evenings are the future.

Saturday nights would get my vote. Pints, watch rugby, more pints = winner

Saturday evening at 6/7pm for me. No rush for anyone to get home from work, early enough for kids to attend, a nice evening atmosphere, plus a nice time to finish for anyone wanting to go out on the lash.

Still prefer Sunday afternoon myself.

Why can it not be 8 on Saturday like it is on Friday? You could go straight to Peppers or the Casino straight after, or even Penny Ln. Seriously though an 8pm kick off on a Saturday is better that a 6pm one. Is'nt it?

8pm would be fine for me but I'm thinking of people with kids. An 8 pm kick off is too late for young kids - and they're the one's we're trying to attract isn't it?

I know we aren't supposed to rely on visiting fans, but 8 p.m. isn't going to sound too attractive to them, especially if they have a fair distance to travel.

Your right Mish and Alan. What about 7pm then. I just think that even at 6pm people who have worked on Saturdays and have kids still don't have time to get everyone fed, watered and washed, and get to the game. Rushing round after work may also put people off attending

Why not a happy medium then and make it 7.30pm I could make it then, but still prefer Sundays.

Hopefully that's the last ever Sunday we play. Dismall crowd, poor atmosphere. You can't compete with premier league games on tv on Sunday afternoons and early Saturday evenings. There is a reason SL clubs play on Friday nights! The coach wants the change the players want the change, the corporates want the change. Saturday nights in the summer you are competing with nights out, the bbq party lovers and 80% of the season the 5:30 premier league game. Sundays your competing with the family time, the second lot of bbq partiers and 2 premier league games. lets stop pandering to the I don't like change brigade and start engaging with the under 25's who don't have other attractions on a Friday night. Lets move quick before we lose another generation.
