I’m hoping to work along side Trevor Barton in the near future on getting the club back to a suitable financial position. Has I have been reading some of the posts and comments on here some people are behind Trevor Barton but a small group are against him, and believe me Trevor Barton has only got what is best for the club at heart.
Now looking at a various number of sources there are a few problems within the club from what I can see not just on the field but also off it. When I say off it I don’t mean there is trouble in the Board Room I mean how the club is marketed and the commercial side.
Now I have not had chance to meet with the commercial team yet but I hope to do this in the next few weeks and see what can be done to publicise the team and also gain a wider fan base and increase attendances.
I attended the game on Thursday against the Sheffield Eagles and all credit to them they where the better team from the start and fully deserve a place in the Grand Final, has you know a few Leigh Players will be leaving at the end of the season and also the Coach Ian Millward will be taking over at Super League club Castleford Tigers. Now from what I have heard the club are working hard numerously around the clock to get the right person in to take over the Head Coaches role. Which I am sure when the new Coach is appointed he will bring some great ideas to the coaching side of the club and can not see why we cant regain the Northern Rail Cup Next year and also challenge for a place in the Grand Final come the end of the season.
Now going back to what is happening off the field my main issues are:
§ Season Ticket Prices
§ Match Day Tickets
§ Merchandise
§ Corporate Sponsor and Packages
§ Pre Match and Half Time Food and Drink
§ Attendances
§ Matchday Atmosphere
Now your probably wondering what my ideas are well after I have spoken with Trevor Barton I hope I can either be at the fans forum with my ideas or at the next Leigh Independent Supporters Association, however in the mean time if you have any ideas you would like to be heard then please don’t hesitate to send me a message on here or to my email which is Jamesfish1990@hotmail.co.uk

Who you are, who has invited to assist, what are you credentials, what specific function are you looking to carry out and finally a reference from the club so we know you are here in an official capacity?

Hi James, Lynda here form LISA, you are quite welcome to attend our next meeting, but as Trevor has planned a fans forum in Oct we will be having our next meeting now in November.
Thinking about it, no one asked us for the yearly figures of dd from LISA surely they would need this to work out their budget, rest of LISA income isn't is not a given amount , as the coach, forcast and poker all raise different amounts each week, however the coaches will have been over 1500, the poker well over 1000 , not so sure about the forcast, then we have had the \play, dvd sales. Then also we have the Hankies by Stephen Morris and the Rosettes by Sharon Dillion.
At the meeting it was said that LISA had given the club 10000 so far this season, and we still have money in the bank.
We have 357 members and more that are in the pipe line, plus I intend to do a big push for members at the fans forum, as its this and the co-operate club that can really help income wise.

My concern is not the price of beer and pies but you cant expect fans to pay them prices after they have paid to get into the game you look at a family of four going to the game they would be paying in the region of at least £40 for programes, food and drinks not including tickets if they are not season ticket holders.

You're very welcome here but you need to give us some context, as another poster has pointed out. We already have plenty of people with plenty of ideas - what we lack is the people with the time and money to execute them! So please forgive those of us who would appear to be less than enthusiastic.
I suggest that the club issues some kind of communication to formally introduce you to the fans. Your first post is riddled with grammatical errors and typos which is not the most professional way to introduce yourself - nor is this the best forum to do that anyway.

I am sure your youthful energies will be very welcome in helping the club move forward, but you need to understand how LRL and LSV work refn income streams eg The RL Club gets nowt from and has nowt to do with your pre match pie n pint.
One thing will allow us to reach our potential and thats income from a properly structured club. It doesnt matter if the income comes from 300 or 3000, although growing gates is another box tick and essential for phase 2 recovery.
Buying your pint and pie adds nothing to the coffers of LRLFC
Keep your enthusiasm, get involved with LISA and enjoy the ride called LRLFC. |

A lot of people on here speak a lot of sense , and no I've not been sniffin the Lobby when I say that .
Quite a few good ideas from our very own fans could do the club a world of good if the powers that be let us have an opinion and take onboard some of the fans ideas / concerns for our club.
Have to agree with other posters about much needed context or official club news to tell us any good news about potential backers or white knights arriving at the LSV .
Voicing concerns / opinions is our right as fans , Our Town, Our Team, Our Dream .

All it takes Gaz is for somebody on here to join the Professional support group, but like in the past there's lots of ideas but nobody takes them forward.
As for news Gaz did you not see the fans forum vid or the LISA report? or Trevors comments in the programme (available on LeighLife now I do believe) there aint much if any good news about.

Martin, hi there!
I believe it's the intention to introduce the Professional Support Group, and give an outline of what they are doing, at the next Fans' Forum - date to be announced soon. There is a heck of a lot of work being done, that will be of great benefit to Leigh Centurions in the future. (obviously, we desperately need to sort out the short-term first!) Not all the ideas are new, but at last there are people on board, who should now be able to implement them.
Irrespective of any spelling/grammar issues that people have, ( ) I'm sure James will be most welcome to the group, as a younger member, amongst we 'old far*s'
