We just seem clueless in attack and pathetic in defence, there was only Nanyn who looked like breaking the line and we wouldn't give him the ball!!

Given our performance today, a total lack of everything in every department on the field, I think we will be lucky to stay up and can't see us beating anyone else all season.

Sorry if some on here don't like that but it is the reality that is now Leigh RLFC.

Felt sorry for Donny, they deserved the win.

Donny didnt deserve to win today. They got two tries from off sides. There forward passes, high tackles, offsides. The ref would have been a very big influence had they won. They had a sesion in the game where the ref helped and we were crap. Having said that I still can't understand why we have to throw long passes out when we are close to the oppositions line. We have no first or second phase attack plays in our game at all. What do the coaches practise in training. Maden did'nt have a bad game apart from not wanting to pickup the ball from the long kick and his lack of awareness for their try in the corner. What is it when a kick comes in that splits Mort and the wingers? Do they not shout to each other because it looked like they were running away from the ball at one point. Don't know how Jock got MOM. That stupid passing and when he gifted them the penalty they scored from. Well the mind boggles. Why can't we get a fit Stuart Donlan? He was struggling again to day with the same leg but gave as much if not more than the best on our side. Why do we not get the forwards running hard into the opposition, softening them up? Why oh why are we not trying to meet the opposition at the line of attack and bloody flattening them. I didn't see anything today that givers me any faith that we are staying in this league but AT LEAST WE WON.

We were very lucky.

We showed no passion at all for 65 minutes until we realised we were 10 points down and needed to actually play. I get the feeling, they thought they'd just turn out and steam roll Donny, oh how those days of gone. So who's job is it to motivate players for a game? The buck stops with you Mr Rowley.

He as off-loading for fun. We never wrapped him up in the tackle. Ran the ball in well.

Donny taught us a lesson in how to play rugby. How sad is that?

Although I'll take results over performances if it keeps us up. Confidence is so fragile.

Well it didn't do Whitehaven any harm getting rocked to their foundations by an obviously improving Donny side that deserves credit and admiration for what they put into the game.

I saw nothing today that hasn't been worrying me all season in truth, the woeful following of Watson is criminal at times. He scored one and created three today. I'm glad he's played so well this season.

I must agree Dave. It looks like the team expect Ian to walse through the opposition and score because they just stop when he has the ball. That or no one has a clue whats going on. I cant believe we have no stratergy close to the oppositions line.

What i saw today was a very confident Donny side who threw the ball about and opened Leigh up time and again plus they had more idea when it came to scoring,we actually fluffed at least 5 through panic rugby .I could'nt understand the long passes either near their try line ,we were not very inventive near the line at all .I must say though it was a good fight back and in other games this has been lacking,I could hardly watch the last 20 mins it was too much .Anyway we won and thats what matters and i did'nt feel sorry for Donny ,they played well but not well enough otherwise they would have won the game,we won and did'nt play that good ,i think some of the Leigh players must have been nervous knowing it was a must win game and that showed .

You say that Watson wasn't followed today and it is woeful but can I say that maybe that is the problem.
It looks to me as though no-one else can call any plays or do anything without Watson. Tom Hemmingway gave him a mouthful today when we were losing and he stepped back. The next move resulted in us scoring and I truly believe that Watson isn't the great player everyone thinks. I think he may well be holding other more enthusiastic and talented players back because he has to run the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree with your post, and I agree about Stuart struggling with injury. However, didn't he save three tries today - kicking dead twice and then taking the winger into touch, after being left two-on-one?

I thought he looked more comfrtable on the wing, although taking Mort off for Dollin, didn't do his confidence any good. I'm glad he was moved back to full back, with Dollin on the wing, when Maden went off!

Over to Freds video for that, but the ref was right in front and the touch judge 20 yards away. If the ref did'nt call held then he can get up and score, are they not the rules.

I would also like to see the field position stats for the game because it seemed to me like we were in their half more than ours.

Regarding your first paragraph I suppose it would be ok if we were talking about a team looking to be in the top four of this league.

Since Donny had their financial problems they have rarely scored and today they play us and what happens ? if there was a person at the match who thinks our team will not be relegated I think they should be committed.
