Will hold judgement on John untill I see him on the field. There's no doubt he was a good player for us the last time he was here but seems to have played in fits and starts for Widnes. Oh and I know he was the man of the match in the NRC cup final.

Just got the same one and he speaks highly of Leigh and Basil seems really happy with him.

I am looking forward to next season

Duffy is proven and experience at this level something we've been missing really for a couple of seasons (barring Watson of course). Millward has obviously seen something in him to sign him up and John himself sounds like he will enjoy playing the club again.

Should look a world beater at C1.

Sees him at hooker apparantly, can't imagine him scoting from the PTB much but has good distribution skills and reads the game well.

Still think we are short of a SO, not sure Hartley (if confirmed is the answer)

Never before will the NRC have meant more than the league

My suspicious mind suggests that if we had signed Hartley it would have been announced along with the Duffs signing. Maybe the new 'you have to lower yourself to the rest Salary Cap' has forced us to change/reduce offers to players.

Cracking signing for you guy's! Will be best half in that legaue (has to play there surely) not as good as Webster so understanable he's left though it is a shame!

Duffy and hartley are good players but depends on their fitness aswell.Hartley is injury prone and duffy seems to be always getting hurt.They give their best and i am sure they will do well for you next year.Duffy would not get above thackeray,smith or webster so best decision to make if wants regular football.

All the best Duffman, always gave your all for the Vikings and im sure you will go well at the lobbygobblers again.

His versatility is excellent and with Paul and Durbin you have a three very good players there.

Seems to me if that is the case they could come to a gentlemen's agreement with him and offer to add this next seasons shortfall, in any expected contract, to the seasons after next contract.

I am very pleased with the Duffy signing btw.
