Playing Friday night, players play Sunday in what will be a hard game up at Sheffield then have to work all day Friday and then play the World Club Champions, whoever made the decision to play Friday wants to give their heads a wobble.

Yes, I'm sure the club really haven't considered this, nor had their hands tied somewhat by the RFL and maybe even Leeds. That's exactly the kind of fresh thinking this club needs.

The game was due to be played on the Friday anyway, what's the fuss? Wigan v Saints on the Saturday and last day of the Premier League on the Sunday leaves the club with Friday.

Haven't Leeds got a tough away game as well ,let's just get on wi it and play with Spirit, plenty of heart and true grit and give Leeds a tougher game than they will ever have thought possible

People moaned that Sunday got poor crowds so wnated Friday night. The game's now on Friday night leaving the other 2-days for other sports on TV.
Also, people may be going away for Bank Holiday weekend so Fri may actually attract more people than a Sunday.
4 of us can now go but couldn't if is was on Sunday.

The bigger issue for the travelling fans will be those bloody traffic lights on the bypass.

Pity about the clash really as we'll probably have knocked a chunk off the away support as I can't imagine Leeds fans will have too much interest in the fortunes of Premier League football clubs so may have still travelled if it was Sunday !
The new ground factor could have worked for us (was that the reason Leeds fans travelled so well on Sunday to Salford ?), lets hope the RFL look at this next season as the last weekend of Premier League football is a big event in the UK.

Did wonder if the Saturday PM fixture could have been trialled for this game if it wasn't on TV as it might have been worth seeing how many away fans we managed to get over the pennines and how many locals came out for it.
However its not to be and Freer /Barton etc have opted for Friday , Whatever the gate lets hope the lads can do us proud again and if you can make it lets ensure we give the lads the backing they deserve.

Well i don't know if it's going to be an indication of the crowd, but at work since we found out it's defo on Friday 4 people who haven't been for a while said well i will go if it's Friday 8 o'clock kick off.

No, no, no! You can't post positive things about Friday night kick offs! You'll have all "I won't change from Sunday" mob keeling over clutching their chests! We've got an extra 3 coming just because it's a Friday night and it won't interfere with their weekend. These Friday games will never catch on.

Leeds do normally travel well so I would expect a decent turn out of Leeds fans, especially visiting a stadium
most wont have been to.

Im on holiday that day otherwise I would have been tempted to nip over myself.
