As it is Christmas time then I thought it would be appropiate to say a big thank you to the BOM for all their hard work over the last 12 months. In difficult circumstances they have done a wonderful job and there is a real feeling of optimism in the air. In particular I would like to thank Andy and Mo for providing information to this forum and for being transparent and inclusive which I know the fans appreciate. 2014 is set to be an exciting year and I have real confidence that for the first time in quite a while we have a structure and the expertise to fulfill our potential. How wonderful would it be to see Leigh running out in Super League in 2 to 3 years time with a team largely made up of local lads and a 5,000 plus crowd. Call me a dreamer but I have a feeling that it could happen.
Key season ahead for the BOM, and I look forward and hope whatever plans they have for increasing the attendance and matchday experience come to fruition.
Merry Christmas to all especially those associated with Leigh Centurions.
I would like to echo the semtiment from Astley Red. I must admit to having been sceptical when this BoM took charge, thinking we had seen and heard it all before. This time howver I feel they have really put their money where their mouths are and we appear to have assembled arguably the best squad we've had at Leigh since we got pomoted to SL. I have also had personal dealings with Andy M. And Neil W. since the take over and am impressed by their personal commitment and determination to drive Leigh forward. These are indeed exciting times to be a Leyther. The proof of the pudding is in the eating of course, and how we perform on the field is paramount. But the BoM have given Paul the players he needs, lets hope he can get them to perform to their full potential.
For the first time in a long while, I am really looking forward to the season starting. Bring it on!
Most exciting time to be a Leigh fan in ages. From the huge top quality squad on the pitch to the back room staff and the BOM securing and enhancing the club's finances and marketing, even the restructure and the return to P&R from Red Hall! It all makes it a fantastic time to be a Leigh fan, massive thanks to everyone involved.
