Quote ="leighonardo"It certainly is a free forum and I agree with most of what your saying. LISA meetings should predominantly be about raising money. Fund raising Idea's were aired and discussed between members the other night long after Ian and Arthur had departed including an excellent one that suggested an incremental £10k per annum could be raised,if fully supported.
This is what LISA meetings should be all about no question but as I have previously stated unfortunately work and family commitments dictate I can not offer anything other to LISA over and above my relatively small financial contribution.
The other thing to bear in mind is that LISA = Lynda (almost) entirely in essence. That's it unfortunately. She can not do it single handly...
As for the meeting 'Visitors'. I do agree that a small Q&A session may lessen LISA's true focus to some.TBH I am not particually bothred about any Q&A session. I do feel however that a club rep should also show up to collect a bi monthly donation from an 'independant' organisation that has raised a substantial amount of money over time. It can be anyone from Arthur Thomas, Dave Bradshaw, Phil Coffey, Keith Freer, Allan Rowley, Paul Rowley etc etc it does not matter who.
No more than one LISA meeting per annum each. IMO hardly an unreasonable request given what is offered over to Leigh in return.
There you go, that is just me also spouting my view.'"
That's more or less what I've been trying to say, but some just get all defensive instead of reading what's written.
