Think he was referring to Paul Sculthorpe, who is now a member of the SKY team but, at time, was still playing for Stains so
could have influences the result. However I believe Longy's book says that Scully wanted to place a bet but didn't actually do so. It does say several other Saints AND Bradford players did, but doesn't name them.

Is it actually against any rules? Hugely immoral and not in the spirit, or interests, of the game but I suspect they may have found a loophole rather than breaking rules (not that they're adverse to rule breaking of course?!)
