I hope you remember that when Mr Rowley has blown Arthur's dosh and you're back in the doldrums like you were a few seasons ago.

Your club (and for that matter any other club) has absolutely no right to a dispension creating an unlevel playing field in CC1.

It baffles me even more to think that the board and now the fans think they deserve the right to a dispensation when the root cause of your problems was some appalling mismanagement.

I hope you bounce back up (not at the expense of my club) and get back into SL. I honestly think you have been right royally shafted by the RFL.

But that doesnt give you the right to an advantage over any other hard-working heartland clubs....... unless of course you're off the M62 corridor where anything goes.

Has anyone of you actually read the Salary cap rules?

There is provision to increase a clubs spending beyond the (so called) salary cap maximum in the Championship and in Championship 1 (other sports have their own rules which are ALL different so people should stop trying to put those rules as a discusdion point as they are not relevant), Nigel Wood has said so, the RFL says so in its own rules, all a club has to do is prove they can afford it on Ch 1 income, fair or not does not come into it as long as a club operates within the rules and asks permission and keeps the RFL informed, everything is OK.

And as for people coming on here accusing the club of doing this and doing that, as they have made no statement as of yet pray tell how anyone outside of the boardroom knows what is going on?.

To those who think we shouldn't be granted 'special dispensation', what do you recommend we do next?

Perhaps we should tear up the contracts of those already signed - including the youngsters like Hill and Taylor, who are on four year contracts? The players then sue Leigh for their contract monies, and bingo, we have exceeded the salary cap anyway, but have no players!

In my book, that would then be giving an unfair advantage to the rest of C1!!

Don't go round trying to sign every player coming off contract on big money perhaps?

I don't know how a Widnes fan can accuse us of this, the Vikings have done this on the last 2 years in respect of at least 2 members of their first team panel...
