I have honestly never seen him kick a player in the face, and I certainly didn't realise he'd been cautioned for it. I've just had a look at his disciplinary record to see if you're right and can't see any mention of it. I've even searched the general disciplinary record for mentions of "Law 15.1(a) Trips, kicks or strikes another player", and whilst lots of players have been cited for it, he wasn't one of them. Maybe you can help me pin point the incidents you're talking about. What games did they occur in? What were the disciplinary reference numbers?

I've just rewatched the Westwood incident and honestly, I can't see any evidence of Sam punching him. At most it looks like he was holding him down and Westwood lashed out in frustration. There literally isn't any footage of Sam throwing a punch, and the RFL didn't cite him for punching (like they did with Westwood). Are you absolutely sure about what you're claiming? Could you point me to any footage I might have overlooked?

Either way everybody knows he got booed as he is a good player and seen as a threat to opposition teams and hence not liked by their fans. Its not that hard to understand.

I have just read through all 8 pages of this topic. And yes you must be thinking I do not have much else to fill my time on a Saturday night and basically it comes down to 3 issues.

1) It was obviously wrong for fans to boo a player playing for England. There is and can never be an excuse for that.

2) Tomkins is obviously a magnificent player and any supporter regardless of allegiances knows that in their heart of hearts, but yes there are also issues with his onfield behaviour, and for ST it is probably important he learns to address this. It is possible that he will go down as one of the greatest players to have played the game in this country but at the moment his legacy is going to be tarnished by the other less savoury sides to his game. I will not go into them at the moment as they have already been discussed.

3) this glider man needs to get a grip on reality and stop boring everybody with his completely mindless posts !

And since arguments for the indefensible are, by definition, pretty hard to maintain, it's now degenerated into petty personal jibes.
