When it was a bunch of part time players, trying their best for a win bonus it was more forgivable - with full time professional players earning a decent wedge, and supporters paying what feels like at times a hefty price of admission - then it's fair game to show their displeasure at a disappointing on field effort.

Exactly, just said on the other thread Phil Clarke as just said about tomorrow we will either win or we will lose by 50 and I fear that is more likely and that will really affect our points for/against

If we even win tomorrow, I'll eat my hat. If we win by 50, then I'll eat all the hats in a hat shop after purchasing all of them - (otherwise they wouldn't be my hats to eat).

I don't know if it's the fizz, the many concussions received in life or old age kicking on, but I think we're going to do it tomorrow.

I think we'll put in a comparatively better performance and one our fans will be happy with. I just can't see us winning unfortunately as Wigan are an excellent side (despite some enforced changes), and will be really up for this - lead by a stoked up Cooper. But stranger things have happened. And we were competitive v a quality saints side. And we are better as underdogs. And we do have good players when they turn up. Who knows? Perhaps I have underestimated our chances.

I think we will compete for a bit, maybe even score first. Then Wigan score a couple of tries to take the lead then we will implode when Cooper "tears us a new one".

They were poor. If we had put in that display, this board would be going absolutely mental with rage.

In a way, they basically put in one of our typical performances - Up against a mediocre opposition, they built up a small lead, while looking generally clueless, then once a bit of final quarter pressure was put on them, they crapped themselves & imploded, handing Hull KR the win.

Next week's game will be interesting, in that it will come down to which side has the bottle for it and not necessarily who is the better side.. with the most pressure being on us, I'm fearing the worst.

I am trying to envisage a situation where Wakefield go down and I don’t get any more grey hairs than I feel I’m bringing on every time I watch us play.

My dad perversely stopped going to watch us as much when we ‘got good’ around 09/10ish - I’m convinced he actually likes something to moan about - this is probably the happiest he’s been since Plange.

I have to say that I enjoy every season come what may.


You see the perennial yearning for a Grand Final success don’t bother me one jot , as I was around last time we won it, so it’s old news to me

anyways I and many others like me have not had that privilege of seeing us win it and I for one would like to see that happen before it’s my time to move on down to Hell or am I already living there.

I’m STILL enjoying this season, much more interesting than bumbling around 4th/5th/6th for no particular reason. May change my mind in 36 hours time but we’ll see.

Massive win for Wakefield today, have the wheels fell off at Wigan.

As long as Wigan beat Toulouse next week, I don't care.

Got to give credit to Wakefield, they are fighting to stay in Super League.

I've said all along they will easily catch us and it was just toulouse to keep away from us. Wakey are used to this situation and it's in their DNA to fight and scrap for everything. We nervously scraped past a championship standard team mainly due to a mid-season signing.

Boring end to the season now
