Yes, the Dire now have a very good team, but how long has it taken you to get where you are now?

About 15 years I think, since we were top of the top flight. How long has it taken YOU to get where you are now. Also the WCC team no longer exists, it went bust, you have a history of two and a half years.

As long as you, but in much more trying circumstances. The point being, despite your permanent tenure in Super League, you have little more to show for it. We don’t have to win the WCC again though you see, we’ve already done it. Your club has failed, miserably, and has under achieved throughout the SL era.



It doesn’t work like that, Chief. It is the same club, in the same stadium, with the same fans and with the same history. We just have different owners and a different trading name. There’d be several current SL clubs who’d have to discount their whole history, if that were the case. Have they? The answer is no.

Wigan, Leeds, Saints and Bradford are all far more accomplished clubs in the SL era than the Dire. I would put you on a level with Hull FC, dangling around the 5th and 6th mark. Perhaps the Dire will change that this season.

Sweet isn't it. Getting accused of illusions of grandeur when Warrington have won 2 major trophies in the last two years and widnes have not won anything this century. Comical.

Regardless of how cringeworthy a few of them are (and it is a few, not all) it will be great to have them back and although some are touchy about the banter, that will be fun when the derby arrives.

It will be good next year with them back in SL. With Warrington and Wigan in good health, Widnes back again, and Saints in their new ground, there should be some good gates.

Who cares who you support as it is just a game.This is just a pop at Widnes, because wire hate the Widdong.I am been realistic and anything above the bottom 2 would be good, as seems we are struggling to sign players at the moment.Until the squad is put together, it is difficult to make a judgement.

I am just happy to be out of the Championship.

all that on one side it was a genuine hypothetical question on what a widnes fans expectation of the first season back in top flight rugby would be! nothing else..... so jog on smelly!

Gonna be a very difficult first season for us. If we can produce a few surprise victories while we give our youth an opportunity to shine, I would be happy with that. with regard to the wire bashing, your club has clearly made massive strides in recent season(as has mine off the field) and a super league title is surely only a matter of time. good luck for the rest of the season.

my mrs is a widnesian for her sins so i see them a fair bit and with the proper coaching Jack can turn into a great fullback and hes only 17 at the mo i think but the other youth that is there are all dual reg but in my opinion the should look to keep logan tomkins looks a good nimble player working the hooker role but dont think wigan would let him go they like the tomkin franchise

Why you got a fixation with Widnes you mongo.I think the smell comes from the Towers which says welcome to Warrington.

other youth are dual reg? besides Danny Hulme and Danny Craven who are both just as good as Owens. Then half a dozen others who are all coming along very nicely.

we will look forward to seeing them in the P&B when they want a move to a bigger club.....

your right the towers do say welcome to warrington, if you look closely there's some small writing underneath which says "you can now remove your respirator"
