To be fair, you had been fine on this thread until this post!
To claim he had no impact on the game at all is ludicrous.
He put the big hit on the first tackle which set the tone for the set of six. He also then put in four or five big hits at various stages (quite a few on Graham) which lifted our defense.
Often Wire's defence gets on a roll on the back of one or two Morley tackles.
Try watching a bit more closely.

Fair enough. I'm sure the stats will back up the defensive effort. It's harder to see the defensive work and I'm sure I've not watched the replay quite as many times as you lot

The 'moisture' on your glasses must have been overwhelming. Morley made four consecutive tackles in one set of six.

Were they all high or just a few of them? That's the only impact I noticed Morley having. Didn't he hobble off and not come back on at some point?

I only recall one penalty from Morley as opposed to two from Graham.
He went off after about 50 mins IIRC, which is a decent spell when you have a strong enough pack to cover him. Must be worrying for your pack when you couldn't get on top of us in that 2nd half even when morley 'hobbled off'.

Could be right!
As an example of Morley's impact, just watch the first set (although even that may be too painful). Morley is first in and puts a big hit on LMS to set the scene for the set.
He then puts a big hit on Graham on tackle 4.
So in the first set he has pretty much haltedyour two key forwards with big hits, and just seconds later we have scored under your posts.
His impact just in that first set of six was outstanding.

I seem to remember us scoring one try in the second half and, but for a dropped ball by Foster, being within a spit of just one point between us. I'd say your pack didn't dominate ours. Unless we dominated you back again, obviously. Like we did in the first half.

Go you!
You won the 1st half by 4 and lost the 2nd half by 11 points. Foster was covered by the way, but if you want to talk about squandered chances then we could have had 60 points.
That 2nd half was pretty dominant by us to be fair, playing much of it without one of our three props as you pointed out.

| Morley did seem quiet, which i found unusual. However, many have said that the concern for Warrington is that the pack is an older and VERY experienced pack. Thats not to say finished, over the top, knackered. For those of us who are older, we all know that it takes longer to recover from knocks, and a player like Morley is not a man who hides and he takes lots of knocks.

| I downloaded the game and just finished watching it, Morley Friday put in one hell of a defensive effort that i hadn't fully noticed on the night if he wasn't first in he was usually 2nd, well done Adrian.
I didn't realise Atkins was as involved as much as he was too.

how can you be so wrong so many times in such a short paragraph.
I didnt say he smashed everyone i said he smashed Louis Macarthy Scarsbrook and Josh Perry and when He smashed Josh Perry his right hand Man (thats MC Jammer) should have steamed in and thrown one or two like Joel Tomkins does when Sam gets an ear warmer.
The sad fact is he saw what happened saw who did it and didnt fancy a confrontation.....the only confrotation James Graham is comfortable with is a Referee...........please tell me I'm wrong please name me three occasions last night when he ripped into a Wire player and gave him a jolly good tongue Lashing.
Adrian Morley has an Aura about him maybe you cant see it and thats fair enough ....I dont know if you've ever played the game? I would doubt it otherwise you would realise that a prop forward is much more than a meter maker.
Take o'meley at Hull I bet someone like Radford would say he's the best prop he's ever played with but a clever person like you would quote his Stats as being a bit rubbish....but if he lifts his team mates to a different level then its a massive job done
I can Imagine MC jammer just whacking on "cant touch this" in the changes and shouting "cum 'ead lads dee cant touch us"

Yeah, sure, and brought a penalty on our heads or a ban for this week (as Perry got when he did exactly as you suggest against the Crusaders). Dingbat.

Now Foster is talented and he may have evaded these two players and avoided being bundled in touch (something he couldn't do against Monaghan), but no way on this planet was it a simple walk in. All this is irellevant anyway, as he couldn't even catch the ball.
Quote Not really. The momentum changed a number of times during the game, first and second half.'"
Of course the momentum changed, it's RL and the enforced turnover of posession will always see a game chop and change, but to turn the momentum from all Saints just before half time to a Wire 17v6 win in the 2nd half was pretty conclusive tbh.
As I mentioned, if we are going to refer to missed chances, we will win that debate too.
To be honest, I'm not actually bothered, I thought the debate about Morley was interesting, and I have said elsewhere that every forward (and indeed every player) on the pitch on Friday deserves to take a bow, but for anybody to question Morley's performance, or suggest that we didn't control the 2nd half is madness.

I'm fully aware of the rules....but every now and again a prop forward just needs to show he's got a big set of balls and wants to rumble with anyone who looks at him funny........James Graham wouldnt even do that on Fantasy Island.

not sure how you can validate this comment. your both entitled to an opinion, none are wrong and none are right in general, only in your eyes. your opinion has no right to be classed as more fact than anybody elses opinion, just because you think you are right.
you cant say someone is wrong because you dont agree with their opinion, you just have a different view.

| True legend of the modern game.
I was a bit surprised at the length of contract Wire gave him, but he's been a key man in your resurgance.
he did the biz. in Australia, the best Pom they've seen since Kevin Ward or Mal Reilly
I still have happy memories of him as a gangly young lad a dozen or so years ago, packing down with Barrie Mac, Terry Newton, Marc Glanville, Daz Fleary and Anthony Farrell - no one took liberties with that pack
