Only 6 games in Joel and Hodgson will only get better as the season goes on getting used to the plays.

Need luck with injuries but we don't think we have see the team really click yet for most of a game, Quins were pretty poor when we turned them over, still think someones going to get it big time without even doing anything wrong.

Players like Matty Blythe and Evans will get better with more games, also means Atkins and King will have to prove their worth to get back in the team as the lads have done nothing wrong so far.

I think we are just ticking over nicely,there is alot more to come from this team.

Two things though. Consistency, and how they perform as a unit. So even though individually, on their day, the present pack fall just short I think that we the present one is better. Perhaps the only fair comparison would be to look at other teams packs. The Boyd one played against better packs, where as the one we have at present..........

My mum who is 89 next month tells me that she went watching Lancashire v Yorkshire schoolboys in the early 1950s and it attracted a crowd of over 17,000.

In that Lancashire team were Alex Murphy, Jackie Edwards, David Bolton and I think she said Keith Holden.

Three of those players went on to play for Wire at some stage of their careers.

I have just rang my friend and he says that Jackie signed for Warrington at midnight on his 16th birthday and Alex Murphy signed for Wigan a week later on his 16th birthday. My friend says that although Murphy was one of the best ever, if Jackie had not been injured he would have gone on to be better than Murphy.
