I have to have similar worries myself. If the pressure mounts & confidence drains we are absolutely dreadful. This is not an effort thing but we just cannot handle being points down. Toulouse to beat Leeds ... oh hell! Forget the comeback today. Our defence & attack is just so bad when we get behind.

| Been out today so just watched it back.
Matautia had a greedy stinker.
Williams had a good game again.
Currie had a terrible half and then a good half
Ratchford is spent, sorry if you're a huge fan but he's spent, he's a yard behind where he needs to be. His dummy half play is stand up, take a step and then pass it, no bullet pass off the ground. He shouldn't be our 6 next year, he should be utility.
Dean had a poor game too but arguably rusty.
Threw that away with lack of intensity. Green shoots are it wasn't 60-0, we didn't crumble mentally, we fought back.
Seasons over.

| Game was gone after 20 minutes, with our defence back peddling our way to defeat . Toulouse win against Leeds, and the pressure is back on.

Please bear in mind this was written before I saw the Toulouse score. Grateful now more than ever that we turned up last week.
It’s desperately sad, but I can’t wait for the season to be over. I just want to draw a line under it and hope that there is better to come. Again, shades of 2001/02, I had the same feelings then.

| Matautia has been an atrocious signing, as has Holmes.
I’m not a Jack Hughes fan but (when fit) I’d pick him ahead of Holmes which says a lot.
Could just me me, but Holmes appears to have trimmed down considerably since his Cas days, looks a different player. No power.

Takes a little bit of the shine off me actually being pleased Toulouse might not just be relegation fodder. Would love them to become established................but not at our expense onvs

| I’m trying to be more positive. After months of bewilderment about what is happening to my club (yes, it’s mine, as much as it is everyone’s who spends their hard earned on it) I think fatigue has got the better of me. I’ve disliked more this year than ever before.
98 was an awful year, 2001/02 were dreadful, 2008 had its ups and downs, but this year has been the hardest to swallow.
But, the board have backed their man. Whether I agree or not, I support the club as a whole, so I have to put up with this. But, I won’t be getting a season ticket next year. Money is harder to come by and the club haven’t earned mine.

Great for the sport broadly, and the rivalry with Catalan and the prospects of growing the game in the region is actually really exciting.

I should imagine a lot of people will be "wait and see" on season tickets for next season.
When all said and done it is just a game, supposedly an enjoyable pastime and recreation.

It’s meant to be isn’t it. But, it’s more than that. I don’t want to bring it down to pounds and pence, but in the current climate, anyone who can put their hand in their pocket and pay up deserves honesty. And that honesty is in the form of a bloke running as hard as he can, through to the leadership being transparent with the situation.
If I were a board member, I would insist on answers and demand that they are relayed to the paying public.

I’m not sure Toulouse are the enemy anymore. They have Salford (h), Hull (h), Hull KR (a), Us (a) in the next 4 weeks. If they continue as they are, they could cruise away from the bottom.
Wakefield have Saints, Cas, Catalan, Wigan coming up, so we need to hope that form holds on those.

I would like to know why players are not giving their total effort, if this is indeed true. The ire of the fans should be directed at those, not Powell.

Let's look at your point:-
Why are the players not giving their total effort - isn't this the coaches job to enable them to do so?
If this is indeed true - there seems to be a lot of effort, but no direction - isn't this the coaches responsibility
The ire of the fans should be directed at those ( the players) , not Powell - no, the fans have every right and Powell should stop blaming everyone else for failure.
Sure the players have a responsibility to deliver, but the coach has to provide the advice, help, strategy, support, encouragement, discipline, the environment for them to do so. Evidently so far it isn't there.

These players haven't put the effort in for anyone, so why blame Powell for lack of player effort when 2 coaches over 7/8 years have failed to get any effort out of them either.
Can you not see the common denominator here? Underachieving over 7/8 years and there's one thing in common (apart from the board etc).

Think we might be getting ahead of ourselves here about our “underachieving”. Getting to grand finals, winning challenge cups and finishing in the top 2/3 is where the club is. Or was.
Just because we spend, doesn’t mean we’re a big club or we are entitled to get the big one. Don’t get me wrong, losing to clubs like Castleford, Salford and Hull KR are always tough to take in knock outs, as we feel like we should beat them. But pitted against Wigan and Saints, we are underdogs. We got a good result in the cup, we didn’t get the result in the 2016 or 2018 grand final. That’s the way it goes.
It’s right that we want more, but to say that the team haven’t turned up for 7 years is simply untrue. Hampered by a static attack, yes, but they turned up. Until this year.

Sorry, I don't agree with any of that.
If you pay a premium, you expect premium back, or whats the point in paying premium. We're apparently the top SL spenders and have been for years.

Powell gave his blessing (signed on his watch) to a large majority of the 17 who played yesterday. Is another bobbing for bad apples exercise now needed, and where will that leave us? If DP cannot get the team made up of players that he wanted, then the buck stops with him if they don't perform to their individual, and collective level, surely?

‘These players.’
Most of them who you refer to have gone. There were only three or four playing yesterday who have been a part of the Smith or Price regimes for a substantial amount of time.
That team yesterday was by in large his team, full of players who he either signed or who will be here next season with his blessing.
Up there with some of the worst performers of the season so far are two players he brought in from Castleford. What’s their excuse?

| You expect all these changes to be made in half a season and the team to be performing.
Better last week and better second half yesterday, there are shoots are there not? Or are you just going to focus on the negative.
We're you a Fergie out after 6 months too? Would Watson have gone after 6 months.
Who are you getting in then? Come now, not one single person in 30 pages has suggested anyone. With all this moaning, not a single, suggestion.

And you say other people are repeating themselves
Just cause you don't wanna sit on the floor doesn't mean you choose to sit in a throne of sh*t as the alternative. Facts - Powell had a pre season to identify bad apples. It took him over 8 months to act on any of them. They have been replaced with his own hand selected individuals (bar Clark and Currie), and we still went in 23-0 down. Seems like same old Warrington to me. Not managed to do much but destroy our defensive structure and confidence.
