He didn't have a cociane metabolite in his system.
The only way Hoock will avoid a ban of 2 years is if he can show that the cause of the metabolite is not cocaine or that it was unwittingly administered to him. |

I think its been said on here that if he needed any meds for aches etc then his club doctor should have been able to supply what was legally allowed. The unwittingly bit I presume refers to a drink being spiked etc, rather than Mr Hock's mental competence. |

I don't think that there was any possibility of this case being kept quiet regardless of what the possible source of the metabolite might be. The RFL could not allow him to continue to play where there was even the slightest doubt.
He has not yet been found guilty of taking Cocaine at this stage, but that element of proof is not required to suspend a player, only suspicion. |
