No i havent - Some of the fans acted like idiots both Fax and Fev - However, it wasnt ALL Fax and Fev fans. And the original post i quoted made a generalisation that all the Fax fans and Fev fans were a "disgrace", which they werent.

If that's the case then its no wonder people were smoking in the ground.... people who smoke do it more when they are drinking.... so if they are in the ground drinking they will also be smoking.. whether it is aloud or not.

...Anyway back to the fire ... Can someone explain to me how you can throw a cigarette end from a public toilet cubicle into a (presumably closed - if not locked) store room with such deliberate action as to start a fire ??

No doubt people will be hung drawn and quartered now if they are caught smoking in the ground. the club should think of adopting a sensible policy where the gates could be opened at half time ( with barriers outside) so that people can legitimately have a fag ( like quins did). Smoking is a terrible addiction but treating human beings like lepers is not the answer.

They know the rules when they come in so why should they be allowed a pass out? It's cheaper to buy food in Tesco than at Heathcotes so perhaps I could have a pass out to buy some half time snacks? Do you propose the same option for people on a flight to the States? Nip out the side door for a fag whenever you want one?

That will be the same rules that say foul and abusive language will not be tolerated. What would you do throw the entire east stand out for singing S**t Helens or maybe the west stand for W***y W***y?
I would advise a sensible approach that's all.

Typical journalist though....."police used dogS"...errr 1. Man WAS attacked as opposed to "man appeared to have been attacked" or "was possibly" (as I believe other information...STILL TO BE INVESTIGATED.... has come out over the incident).

And god knows where he gets his commenst about worst scenes since 2000. This was NOT a pitch invasion and TBH I have seen worst scenes on TV than the "incidents" which actually took place inside the ground.

If this were a non-RL reporter I would take it with the pinch of salt most appear to be, but Andy Wilson is a well respected and generally fair minded RL fan. OK he is still a reporter and subject to journalistic licence, but his opinions are ones I generally listen to and his reports are generally backed up with a large degree of truth.

Really? Hull Fc fans storm the pitch fighting and pull down the posts compared to a stand is evacuated and fans taken to safety on the pitch is slightly different don't you think? HullFC and Hull KR fans kicked off at Craven Park a few years ago if I remember correctly. I would say that was worse than Sunday. That report is nothing more than sensationalism.

The guy attacked in the carpark is a different matter and I pray for his full recovery.

No it's not comparing the trouble on Sunday to the day when Hull FC tore down the MacAlpine posts. He's stating his opinion that it was the worst crowd trouble he'd witnessed since that day. Yes in an ideal world the fans were simply evacuated and lead to safety on the pitch - in reality the Featherstone contingent (and indeed the Sky commentary team initially) thought the Halifax contingent were heading onto the pitch to cause trouble and the pictures clearly showed a number of Featherstone "fans" rushing to the front of the South Stand no doubt aggravated by the taunts of their Halifax counterparts as they were on the pitch.

You cannot ignore the fact that there was trouble both in and outside the ground on Sunday, IMO it was the worst seen at the HJ an opinion backed up by some and disagreed with by others. For what it's worth there is a large part of Andy Wilson's report I strongly disagree with - the quote attributed to the Featherstone Director that there was no police presence outside the ground after the game is totally wrong, I was on Tesco carpark around the time of the attack, and while I saw nothing of the attack itself there was a number of police officers present overseeing the Halifax fans as they left the East Stand and went to their coaches on Dallam Lane.

I'm not entirely sure if I'm serious or not. but it's like drugs cheats and "professional" drivers who go over the 12 point limit. You knew the rules beforehand, you screwed up, you live with the consequences, no excuses or leniency.
