Strewth, GDMM. That's the biggest insult I've ever heard someone call another human being. Blair Lite. That was nasty. Imagine anybody being even more lightweight than Blair

I disagree. A Lib/Lab coalition would not secure a majority - pointless. We are either going to get a minority Conservative government or a working partnership majority with Conservatives and Lib Dem. Eitherway there will be another election in Q4 this year.

As far as Cameron being PM in a majority government they are the deal breakers.
As a minority government a closely allied Lab/Lib Dem have the numbers for power of veto on them.

| If Labour and the Lib/Dems combined to vote down a minority Conservative Queens Speech, another election will be required, and the parties which bring about such a scenario will suffer electorally. That is Cameron's best hope.
It strikes me as rather odd that everybody is panicking about a "balanced" parliament, but that would become the norm if the Lib/Dems get their way over electoral reform.
Where is Oliver Cromwell when you need him?

| This is pefectly set for Labour to hand over the reins.
Make Gordon resign, let Cameron have his minority government......The UK then walks into the huge world economic disaster that is waiting just around the corner....The 2 chancers, Cameron & Osborne, make the expected balls up of it, and unemployment, taxes and inflation rates shoot up through the roof, leading to social chaos on the streets of Britain and general disdain for the incompentent Tory party.
Around approximately 12 months from now, Labour, now lead by Alan Johnson, take back over with a healthy majority, sending Camo back to the wilderness, and all is then good in the world.....SORTED!!...

Don't think its a case of assuming, more a case that they should.
Installing a Milliband will just stink of copying the Blair/Cameron line.....Johnson is a great choice, he'd tear Cameron to bits at PMQ's and give Labour a much needed air of authority, which they have lacked with Brown, who has always given the impression of a surefire loser.

| With all the cuts to come in public spending in the coming years, industrial unrest is bound to increase, so maybe a man who has seen both sides is best placed to guide the country through it. Or we could just bring back the iron lady to break the unions, which worked in the eighties and brought prosperity to all.

| Labour and the Liberals will do everything they can to ensure that there is NOT another election this year. Elections are expensive and right now the coffers of both parties are empty. If there is another election this year there will only be one party with the finance to campaign for it.
Which of course could be part of the tactic - Cameron approach Clegg, not be happy with the deal, try to run a minority government, complain about Libs and Labs blocking everything he is trying to do 'in the interests of the country' and seek to fight another election with a bid to secure a solid majority later in teh year.

Pretty impressive, I'd say.

| Best news in all of this is the humiliation of the Nazis in Barking (and elsewhere). All their efforts in Barking and they come third in the general election and wiped out in the council elections. Well done, residents of Barking.

Agree with you there, from the opposite extreme also very happy to see Galloway lose his seat.

Whilst not offering an opinion on your comment (Nazi's were socialists as you know), I would say that the BNP vote share increased.

| I'll wait to see what the Conservative/Lib Dem coalition policies are before making judgement. However, I would assume the largest make up of the combined policies would be right winged. Whether I support the coalition or not will depend on what policies the Lib Dems can save from their own manifesto.
