Great depth throughout the squad, roll on Feb 2012!

An injury to Monaghan and I will worry. That is the only weak point I can see though. Losing King is a huge loss but I dont think there was anyone available who could replace him so I wont count it. I think our forward pack has improved this year so hopefully that will help cover for Kings loss.

WE have and we haven't, if you know what I mean. We have lost the brute power of Anderson, but have gained in the handling skills of Waterhouse.

Scott Hill is an improved back-up player than what we had last year from what I have seen/heard. I expect he will get some game time.
Overall you would say we are slightly weaker I think, especially when you take into account Briers, Morley and Hodgeson are all a year older.

Chris Hill should be quite good as well.

I have to agree (with a previous comment) about the worry re. the hooker position. We have two "mature" specialists and they will get injured sometime in the season. I keep going through the squad as to who else might be able to play the hooker role and I'm struggling a bit. I came up with Gareth O'Brien as an option. He didn't seem to mind a bit of contact & he's obviously got the skills. I'd be interested to see the views of those who know a bit more about him as all I have seen are his first team games.

we haven't used the number 25 for the last three years, Chris Bridge was the last player to wear it!!! Maybe TS doesn't like the number!!!

Brett going back to Australia this morning, according to his Twitter, says it's been fun UK over and out, another fishing attempt do we think or has he gone home for good?

He tweeted the other day that's he's going home for Christmas and will be back in the New Year. Hope he does a bit of running/practice goal kicking in amongst all the BBQs and VB bitter. He's a wily old fox, doubt he needs much of a pre season and even if he puts a bit of Terry on, won't be the worst thing in the world!
