Based on Solomona's form for Bradford, he'd be a poor signing IMO.

We've signed Myler and Atkins, and then Solomona? Seems the odd one out. Two are young, up-and-coming internationals, whilst the other is an old, past it, injury prone and overweight player on his last legs. For me, he'd be a poor signing, but then I'd be happily be proven wrong by the pro's on here.

Cos we have a history of sighning injured players...

He's on a pay as you play deal so I believe this is a great signing, although Johnson had a good game in the final Solomona is out of his league

I am not 100% sure but I don't think you can do this because of the salary cap, he would count on the cap and for this reason if he signed it would only be on a permanent contract.

Personally I don't think he will be playing for us next year.

False, SL clubs cannot use "pay per game" salaries.

. Solomona can be quality but those games are few and far inbetween, his shoulder is well and truly f*cked and he's carrying too much weight.

Maybe that's what Smith is looking to change. Similar type of player to Lauitiiti when Smith was at Leeds.

Correct, but as I understand it, Solomona's deal, if he comes. equates to a pay as you play deal in that it is a full time contract for a small amount of money with the expectation that he may not play the full season. On this basis his payment per match if his fitness record is similar to the last few seasons will be fair for him and the club. If he stays fit the payment per match will be heavily in the clubs favour. £20-25 k apparently for the season.

Doesn't strike me as a Smith type signing.
