| Quote ="Saddened!"It's the same both ways though, surely you can see that. You are all talking as if you beat us by 60 and played us off the park. Had we finished off one of Taia's breaks in the last 10 minutes, this place would be full of threads about Chris Hill's captaincy and Price's future. Fine margins in sport.
The truth is neither side were in control of that game. We were awful for large parts of the game and yet in the last ten mintues we were 2 points down and we made multiple breaks in your half and just didn't finish them off. I said before the game that all the trophies this year are between those two sides and I'll stick with that. You've clearly got the edge over us in big games, so I'd have you favourites now but it's not like you're incapable of losing to someone else along the way and gifting the big prize to us.'"
See the thing is, we're used to getting screwed out of victories against saints, see the phantom sinbinnings last year for soft , which turned games.
Or the forward pass that was so forward it time travelled to to 2030.

| Got your excuses in before and after the game, at least consistent. The real consistency of course is the inability to give credit where it is due.

| Quote ="Saddened!"Makinson was suspended, Percival is broken. He's lasted about 20 minutes on his last two or three returns from injury. I didn't think he'd start the game to be honest and it clearly backfired. Logical step is then to move Naiqama to the wing and then Welsby goes and tops it off by getting injured leaving Knowles and Bentley at centre. Not many teams would cope with that mess too well.'"
Your team were missing one outside back, and so did ours, hence a weak excuse before we even kicked a ball.
By the way, this is what you really thought after the game:
=#FF0000Hate to say I told you so, but that outcome was very predictable. We're shocking in big games and we simply won't beat them in a meaningful game. Our only chance of winning SL this year is not getting them in the semi or final.
I'd love to know what happened just before lockdown. The team played so freely, looked so sharp and fit. Today we looked like we were playing in thick mud, we looked slower man for man than they did. And their fitness was way better than ours, which is worrying.
Ultimately now I've calmed down about the refereeing (Which was shocking. If I were Saints I'd request a meeting about it to review his decisions, several of them were just shockingly bad in terms of the consistency of his application. He hammered us and let everything go for them. He definitely refereed the game differently depending on who had the ball) and it is clear we lost the game primarily because of Percival going off the field. We ended up with Bentley and Knowles in the centres it seems and we were struggling from then on. But we still had to make errors for them to score. The tackling for Ashton's try was pathetic, Charnley's try was ridiculous as well. They were tired and just gave up at that point, players like Lomax and Coote just standing and watching the most blatant inside run from Charnley. He's so slow these days it's really frustrating to watch him slice through our line and walk in without anyone laying a finger on him.
We need to be better than that. It's that simple. Work to do on recruitment for next season which I don't think we've got the stomach for at the moment given the hit to the finances Covid has provided. I also think we'll have to sack Woolf at the end of the year.
Why can't you just give some credit to the other sides players and coach for being the better team for once, and just man up?

| Not sure about the backs, but let me tell you our forwards wipe the floor with the Saints pack - Walmsley aside none of them would get in the starting 13, and Alex is desperately trying to keep old father time at arms length.
Graham is shot
Roby is ok but a shadow of his former self
Bentley, Lees and Knowles all massively overrated
Smith not SL class, certainly not top 4 SL class
Taia ok but wrong side of 30
LMS mouth well ahead of brains and ability
Peyroux failed centre and nothing more

Ratchford is a lot better than Coote. Off the scale better. Taller faster multi positional Makinson over Charnley I’d agree
Grace over Lineham??!!! you’re deluded. Lineham is about 6” taller and 2 stone heavier.
Percival King similar.
Gelling Naiqama. 5ft 10” about 14.5 stone vs Gelling 6ft 4” and 16 stone ...ultra bigger and heavier.
Fages Austin...5ft 8” 12.5 stone midget vs 6ft 1” nearly 15 stone stand off...!
Widdop Lomax 5ft 10” 14 stone vs Widdop 6ft 15 stone halfback. Jury is out at the mo on Widdop, on paper....bigger heavier than Lomax. I like Lomax though. A trier.

Cos you didn't play us in the final.
Really if you think about it, we've been unfortunate to play wigan and leeds in the GF's if we'd played saints we'd have 4 of the buggers.

Why would I? You genuinely think you outplayed us? If so, I saw a different game to you. Like I said earlier, had we finished off one of those breaks in the last few minutes, there would be the same post-mortem going on on here as the one on redvee and you'd all be depressed like you were when your season fell apart last year. Instead you're all feeling glorious and the mighty Wire are again having their year. The truth is that game was very even.

| We should quite rightly enjoy our victories in big games over Saints and possibly half the comments to Saddened on here are a bit tongue in cheek (may be not). In a cold light of day analysis, I actually agree with quite a bit of what our parapet busting visitor says....we won a close game and one of our try's was fortunate..
Where I disagree with him though and most of the 'well informed' on redvee is that we didn't win it because of poor refereeing, or that we'd be in a state of apoplectic shock if the score line had been reversed. We might have even mentioned that our first try was indeed a try rather than a forward pass and that Lomax's first had a hint of the same in the build up. We might have consoled ourselves that perhaps it was Saints turn to get over the line in a big game against us and we can concentrate on the GF.
Their problem is they had built this game up as retribution for last year's final win and our earlier nilling amongst the other recent victories. Despite the repeated mantra that we are upstarts of little consequence to the likes of them, Wigan and Leeds, we have really got to them IMO.
If we do meet in play off rugby it wont be a foregone conclusion they aren't as shot as some on here might believe and they are capable of a win but the days of fearing the worse when their name is pulled out of the hat appears to be over for the time being and we should enjoy that

The onus is on Warrington to prove that though. Being honest, a lot of your fans would have said that since about 2012 or whenever it was Tony Smith got you playing well. You pretty consistently finish below us though and don't win the title. We finished 20 points ahead of you last season and won the Grand Final. It's hardly ridiculous to suggest that Saints are a better side than Warrington.
My take is that we're slightly better (Or were until Luke Thompson left), hence the better league placings, but you've found a way to beat us and will be confident of doing that in the big games between the two.
Go and win it this year and not many will be able to argue back with you.

Are they? I don't pre-celebrate like a lot on here either though, it's not like I'm claiming we're going to batter you. Neither side would be happy with that performance, whichever team lost would have had plenty to think about. You still can't give Warrington any credit, though, can you, only just keep making posts that divert away from this fact. It was the same after Wembley, you didn't congratulate us on our win, then either.
Were happy with our performance as our backline was disrupted with Lineham being suspended, and Widdop not being available. We also had 6 players who had been self isolating and unavailable for the previous two games. We didn't complain about this before the game, as we haven't before any other game sine Covid19 took effect, just simply got on with the job in hand.
You give the impression that your just sour and bitter that we keep winning the games that matter between us.

You should have seen them last year, celebrating like it was their cup final.
