If you mean Widdop it adds to the rumour we've offered benji marshall a load of money for a one year deal. Which i hope doesn't happen as he's said many may times he doesn't want to play over here so would literally be coming over for one big pay day.
He's one of my all time favourite players but please no.
I'd honestly rather save money and sign someone like Joe mellor, He's not Great but he's a good player who's dependable and consistant which we've not had in the halves for a long time.
Throw the rest of the money at a prop for me, pay off Latu and finally not take a chance on someone or panic buy and sign someone good.
I would rather have had eddie Battye this year over Sita and Latu, plays big minutes, never takes a backwards step, tackles hard and puts 100% in each wek. Something neither latu or sita can do all in one.
If Widdop goes i wish him the best but i won't be gutted, he's had 2-3 good games since he's been over here.

Spend less on 2 big SL props (Watts/Taylor) and go with Austin/Ratchford/Dean/Patton.

My stated view all along has been that having two big star playmakers at half back, both effectively marquees and both used to being the playmaker doesn't work.

Austin's best football of late was when Widdop was sidelined. Since then he seems to have gone into "you're the marquee get on with it" sulk.

Personally, I still prefer Ratch at FB and Dean gets the vote over Patton at half. Ideally I'd like to see a good organising, passing half alongside Austin, but Dean deserves some opportunities now.

can i just point out, as this keeps getting batted about, scott taylor signed for wigan, and was homesick for hull, watts apparently left hull fc to be nearer his home in castleford(and allegedly he's an ale monster).

So even same country, you have these issues.

Without knowing the personal reasons for Widdop going home can we not have the 'good riddance, he's been rubbish' stuff. Pretty sure he'd have stayed and come good, very good had he been able to. He's not gone hiding so far and he can still get us that title. Yes i would like Sezer, would go very nicely with Austin.

Dean should have played against Leeds, that was an opportunity wasted.

Sezer would be just the job but highly unlikely.
Richardson or Jacob Miller might be obtainable but like others have said I'd rather us make a quality prop the priority.

There's no way Huddersfield will let Aiden Sezer go though so it's wishful thinking. Same with the old Scott Taylor/Liam watts would be perfect......well yeah but their Clubs aren't gonna go "Oh Warrington are interested in you, off you go then"
It's not gonna happen, we just have to hope we can pull our finger out and make something happen......

Richardson didn’t seem particularly missed by his teammates at Saints. And seemingly not missed by the staff either.

Same old chat going nowhere! Halves have been criticised for years and I wonder why good players become inadequate. Coaching is not getting the best out of the players. Beefing up the pack is essential starting with two props and time to question the role of Briers in the failure of the halves or is that not allowed. He is the common factor over the years. I recall with pleasure the rugby London played under Henderson and had high hopes. Nothing has changed but at least we know what he can achieve; as for Briers?

In the decade and a half before Briers joined the coaching staff we had one of the best kicking games in the league, since he became a coach we have not.

Briers influence on Patton’s kicking game, is very clear imo. Patton’s kicking game is beyond equal to any player at Wire currently, and possibly since Briers last professionally kicked a ball.
