We probably do more than most on this forum but definitely not on forums in general, some of the Rugby Union and Football forums are much worst but it's what makes the world go around and pass the time of day with a bit or humour, just don't take anything that seriously.

Whilst not defending the post it does appear that where you are born/live is an issue to some when considering levels of support. You only need to hear the whinging scousers complain about the alleged Man U fan base.

Because you should support your home town team or nearest town team.

Technically Geordie should support Gateshead Thunder.

As for Cockney, im not sure where his roots are so i cant suggest a team for him to support.

Also, I think that if you are born and bred you have that little bit more passion.

I understand your point however i lived in the North East until I was 14 and up until that point I didn't know Rugby League existed, Gateshead Thunder certainly didn't!

I moved to Warrington 18 years ago and was introduced to Rugby League a short time later.

I have actually lived in Warrington longer than I did in the North East and this is my home, I have adopted it Warts and all.

So with Gateshead not existing when I lived in the North East do you still stand by your statement?

I was going to write on my previous post that im sure that there are valid reasons why you and cockney support warrington.

I have no problems at all with you supporting warrington, im glad that warrington as a town has provided you with something great that you didn't have in your life when you lived in the north east.

However, i still stand by my point that born and bred wires have a tad more passion and pride in there rugby team. This is no slight on you or cockney its just my opinion. And for the record i am a born and bred warringtonian.
