All these negative topics re the coaching staff,the team, the club & supporters have only been fuelled by lack of comment from the club. The supporters, we are led to believe, are a vital & well respected part of the club. A well levelled statement from the club about our current predicament & future intentions to improve matters would work wonders.

Guess thsts what the fans forum later this month is supposed to do, but i suspect not as it will more likley be full of hand picked people.

Throughout the thread you’ve all alluded to the most important factors, the great infrastructure of the club, plus the fact we’ve got money these days. We’re too good for 2 wins in 5, so that trend will most likely not continue. If that becomes 2 from 6, it’ll be 3+ from the next 6.

It’s obvious, we’ll improve this season on the last, then get even better. We’re reliant on Roberts for that and you can’t expect him to come all the way from Australia and be brilliant straight away. He’s too good for Super League, if we can get the best out of him during the next few years, we’ve no worries.

Every season the Wire lot spout off about being Super League champions and it just doesn't happen. No wonder fans of every club hammer you with that 'its always your year' chant.

I think it is only the fans of other clubs who are obsessed with & love to spout on about the Mighty Wire not being champions.

Most Wire fans are happy to go with the flow & look on anything we win as a bonus. We don't need to chase silver ware to have a good time at the match.

What a load of garbage you spout. You will never hear a wire fan going on about winning the GF unless we are winning 25-18 at OT with 50 seconds to go. Its sky obsession that does it.

Wow some people are really simple.

What utter . You won't find many Wire supporters saying "it's our year". If anything I'd say the majority are quite realistic and just want a team that entertains, anything else is a bonus. We also have sense of humour hence why we join in the chant. All down to Sky repeating the same "is this Warrington's year" BS. The sarcastic "it's always our year" flag 2 years ago didn't help though, we'll be stuck with it until we do win the big one, which could be a while yet!

I’ve only read one post this Winter that’s said we should be looking at being champions come Autumn, ONE. If anything Wire fans are pessimistic compared to other sets of fans! What we have understood is that our team from 2010-2013 was one of the best teams of the last few decades that we’re not crowned champions and financially we are in a position that not many other clubs are in. So we’ll voice dissatisfaction when the club isn’t run well from top to bottom. There’s no excuses why it isn’t with the backing we have. But nowhere in that do we say “we’ll win the lot”

That chant comes from Stevo tipping either us or Hull FC to win the GF every year for about six years but it seems to have stuck with us with other sets of fans because we lost three GFs rather than sticking with Hull. It never had anything to with us fans lauding our team and saying we’d win it.

Ever since then simpletons make generalisations and get the wrong end of the stick like you have here.

As for Wigan, WE look at Wigan as big rivals because we’ve been in a lot of big games against them in recent years. We don’t care how they look at us. But that’s how rivalries start (that or comparing trophy wins). That’s why Wigan and Saints has no real rivalry before the 1950s because Saints never had any big games with Wigan and had barely won a thing before the mid-50s (1 championship 0CCs in their first 80 years) and probably never registered on any other club’s radars. But then when they started winning things, they did.
