| Looking at Wires71's list of Wigan signings, you have to respect their ability to identify talent. This isn't the 1980s and 1990s where Wigan were signing players who no other team could realistically afford. All those guys who Wigan signed in the past decade could easily have been signed by their rivals, especially us. They have been successful through good judgement not through swinging their money and title-dominating credentials about like they did under Maurice Lindsay.

Their signings have been excellent and the vast bulk of their great all conquering 2024 side was assembled in the last 5 years. In fact if you compare their 2018 GF winning side, with their 2024 GF winning side only Liam Farrell remains. A complete rebuild.
Last year Warrington had more players from the Wigan 2018 GF winning side than Wigan! Strangely we still have 4 of our losing 2018 squad on the books too. Read into that what you will.
Our recruitment has been poor with some real turkey signings that have come and gone and some players that have stayed too long.
Another of the differences between Wigan and Wire.
