I think we are all in that boat Moe. I know we are biased but that team deserved a GF win if only for the style of rugby that was a delight to watch. Not forgetting that season when we scored over a 1000 points ......

Chris Hill has been a very good player for us for 10 years and considering the number of NRL based forwards in the England team over the last 10 years suggests that he was the standout English forward in SL in that period.
He was an ankle tap on Kallum Watkins away from being a world cup winner.
I can't remember Mamo mentioning Hill in his famous interview but maybe he was part of the positive reinforcement crew along with Mamo and Lineham that have been sent on their way.
There are not many players left that were senior players at the end of the Tony Smith era. Just Cooper and Ratchford left really.

All in all, not a bad pack.

There were a lot of other good packs about then as well though. Leeds had a great pack and Wigan, Huddersfield were handy with big eorl.
