Why would Smith want Tickle when he has already outed Gleeson (apparently) who (allegedly) has/had off the field issues?

Don't think Ticks is as bad as people make out, certaintly 1st 2 seasons never heard a bad word about him, think he has some personal problems with his missus not settling in Hull and returning home with the kids and he's got his head up his a bit imoand Thacks has took him under his wing

As you saying Martin Gleeson is gay! I sincerely hope that isn't the reason he isn't a Wire and that the real reason is the frankly ridiculous deal we got Wigan to agree to.

As an aside, how is Gleeson getting on so far? For our part, although I appreciate this 'doesn't count' on the Wigan board, Mathers has been very good for Warrington. The 100k has also been very good - hope we spend it on something nice soon. Very soon.

This is an interesting one, hopefully it's got some legs in it. As I rate him, good goal kicker as well (although Hicks has been kicking good recently).

Tickle can be a very good player, in fact I would say he has been one of Hull's better players this year, for some reason we play he for 80 minutes each week and I dont think that helps him. He was excellent in his first season at Hull, poor last year (like most players) and up and down this year.

Think he would be a good signing for you, Hull are pretty strong in the backrow (If Agar used them right), so it wouldnt be a massive loss to Hull and you cant blame for wanting to be nearer his family.

As another poster has siad the brother is usually very good with his rumours, so I would take this seriously if I was you.

I would have Tickle. I always rated his distribution as a second rower, but he was used like a prop in his last year at the pies. It made him look poor.
He needs a little more room to run but he still runs direct.
I think he would do very well in a team with Higham or Monas as their speed at the play of the ball will suit.

Tickle is worth 12 points a game for his kicking ability alone.
To be honest, he would be a tremendous signing for the Stains. Their game is based on quick plays and for years they have struggled to find a consistant goal kicker. God I hope they don't sign him

I wouldnt want Tickle at wire IMO harrison westwood and possible louis are all better than him even lee mitchell is coming through now aswell as for goal kicking we are heavily linked with sinfield and even myler a lot of us are forgetting that there is actually a salary cap in the super league so for me tickle would be a big no no because people like harrison would have to make way for him

When he was at Wigan he was known to be from a big St Helens supporting family.........not sure if that meant he supported them or not.

Who cares though to be fair, he'd be a top signing for Wire imo if you get the good Danny Tickle.

He blows hot and Cold from year to year more so then any other player i've seen but when he's on top form he's superb.

We tried to sign him before he went to Hull but he wated more than we were willing to pay, not sure what his demands are like now. also, he is soooo full of himself.
